BANDAI OFFICIAL TOY SHOP has started accepting pre-orders for " Ultraman Taro 50th ANNIVERSARY SET " (11,000 yen including tax, excluding shipping and handling).

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of "Ultraman Taro" broadcast in 1973, a set of memorial items, mainly the "Ultra Badge" used by the main character Kotaro Higashi (played by Saburo Shinoda) to transform into Ultraman Taro, will be commercialized from the "Ultra Replicas" series The "Ultra Badge" is the item used by Saburo Ultraman Taro to transform into Ultraman Taro.

All parts of the "Ultra Badge" are completely newly designed and sculpted from the previous product ordered in 2019.
In addition, the new product has been sculpted with electronic circuits, which were not included in the previous product. The latest design technology has been applied to create an extremely small body (60mm wide x 8mm thick) with a built-in infrared communication unit.

The Ultra Badge is interlocked with the "ZAT Buckle Sound Unit" included with the product.
By pressing the button on the back of the Ultra Badge, an infrared ray is transmitted, and when the sound unit receives it, the sound unit activates the sound of Ultraman Taro's transformation.

In addition to being able to switch between the three patterns of Ultraman Taro's transformation sound depicted in the film, the sound unit can also be used to play Taro's voice and special move sound by pressing a button after the transformation.
The Ultra Badge has been carefully sculpted under the supervision of LSS, the sculpting division of Tsuburaya Productions, and the curved shape of the body, which is gently rounded, has been thoroughly reproduced. The crystal in the center is made of acrylic.
Furthermore, by using the included holder parts, it is possible to "attach the badge to the arm," a feature that could not be reproduced in previous products. This allows for an even higher level of posing.

Another included item, the "ZAT Member Buckle Sound Unit," is based on the emblem of the ZAT defense team that appears in the film.
The sound unit itself has two buttons that can be used to play the theme song, insert song, and transformation scene BGM of Ultraman Taro, various symbolic sound effects such as the Ultra badge glowing and jumping, the monster noises that appear in each episode, and various other sounds that colored the entire "Ultraman Taro" story. You can also play with the "Ultra Badge".
The device can also be worn using the hook on the back for smooth infrared interlocking with the "Ultra Badge.
