Kaiju 8" is serialized by Naoya Matsumoto in "Shonen Jump +". Kafka Hibino, the 32-year-old protagonist, who once gave up on joining the "Nihon Boeijutai" (Japan Defense Force) to defeat monsters, aims to join the defense force again, but... The series has already been published in 10 volumes, with a total worldwide circulation of over 11 million copies (including digital editions), and has won numerous manga awards and taken the world by storm. An anime adaptation by Production I.G (animation production) and Studio Color (monster design and works) was announced last year.

On August 5, "Monster No. 8 Day," one year after the announcement of the anime adaptation, the second teaser PV consisting of full-length anime footage was released for the first time. Along with the release of the PV, the three main cast members who play the three main characters, including the main character, Kafka Hibino, were also announced.

The PV shows not only the powerful images of a world where giant monsters threaten everyday life, but also the moving figures of the characters and their voices.
The main character of the film, Kafka Hibino, who has given up his dream of becoming a member of the Defense Force to defeat monsters and works as a cleaner specializing in monsters, Reno Ichikawa, Kafka's junior at work who aspires to become a member of the Defense Force, and Mina Ashira, Kafka's childhood friend and now the ace captain of Unit 3 in the Defense Force, make an appearance. Kafka becomes "Monster No. 8" when a mysterious small monster suddenly appears and enters his body. Will this monster, wielding a shining blue fist, really be a friend or foe of mankind? The video raises expectations for the future development of the film.

The casts for the three main characters in the PV have also been announced.
The main character, Kafka Hibino, will be played by Katsuya Fukunishi ("Tokyo Revengers" Ken Ryuguji, "THE FIRST SLAM DUNK" Yuji Okusu, etc.)! In addition, the role of Reno Ichikawa will be played by Wataru Kato ("The Brave is Dead!
