The fall anime "16bit Sensation ANOTHER LAYER" will air in October 2023.

Based on the fanzine "16bit Sensation," which was distributed at Comic Market 96 by Mitsumi Misato and Amaruki (Aquaplus) and manga artist Tamiki Wakaki.
Set in 1990s Akihabara, the magazine depicts the scene of bishojo game production and the changing cultural movements surrounding it, intertwined with the story of the main character, Meiko Uehara, and other characters. The doujinshi has sold a total of six episodes, and a book is currently being published by KADOKAWA (two volumes already in print).

The teaser visual depicts the main character, Konoha Akisato, in 1990s Akihabara.

Main Cast and Staff Information Revealed!

Aoi Koga will play the role of Konoha Akisato, the main character in the original work, while Atsushi Abe, Ayako Kawasumi, and Yui Horie will play Mamoru Rokuda, Kaori Shimoda, and Meiko Uehara, members of Alcohol Soft, which appeared in the original work. The main storyline is based on the original story by Wakamatsu Wakamatsu. The main story will be written by Tamiki Wakagi, the author of the original story, and Tatsuya Takahashi, who has worked on numerous bishojo games.

The opening theme will be "65535" (Rokugo Sango) by Shoko Nakagawa!

Shoko Nakagawa, who herself continues to be a top otaku herself, has been chosen to perform the opening theme for this work.
