Pre-orders for the packaged version of Nintendo Switch's "Pikachu, the Detective Who Came Back" began today, August 9, 2023.

Pikachu is a coffee-loving, pompous, yet somehow lovable "talking old man Pikachu," a self-proclaimed "great detective" whose face and gestures are just like an old man's. In this title, a young man, Tim, teams up with this self-proclaimed "talking old man Pikachu," who is a human and a Pokémon.
In this cinematic adventure game, a young man named Tim teams up with Pikachu to solve the mysteries of various incidents that occur in "Lime City," a city where humans and Pokémon coexist, with the help of numerous Pokémon.

Pikachu (CV: Koichi Yamadera)
Pikachu is a self-proclaimed "great detective" who loves coffee.
His attitude, words, and actions are those of an "old man. For some reason, he can only talk to Tim.
He is the partner of Tim's father, Harry, and now works as a detective with Tim as his mentor.
He is so knowledgeable and experienced that he calls himself a "great detective," but he can be overzealous.

Tim Goodman (CV: Yusho Kamimura)
A college student at Lyme College.
While searching for his missing father, Harry, he meets Pikachu and the two form a team.
He is usually mild-mannered and reserved, but when investigating a case, he displays a keen insight that even Pikachu takes notice of. He is good at giving Pikachu a good laugh.

A Pokémon that holds the key to the case.

Rachel Myers (CV: Atsumi Tanezaki)
A student at Lyme University.
