Prototype announced that "CLANNAD" for Nintendo Switch will be available on the Nintendo eShop in spring 2019.

CLANNAD" is the third title from Key, the brand of Visual Arts that established the "crying game" genre in the romance adventure game market with "Kanon" and "AIR".

Since the PC version was released in April 2004, the series has been developed into numerous media mixes, including TV anime, theater movies, comics, novels, drama CDs, music CDs, and character goods. For home video game consoles, the PS2, PSP, Xbox360, PS3, PS Vita, and PS4 versions have been released, and a popular game app for Android is also available.

A high school built on top of a hill in a provincial city.
Tomoya Okazaki, who had just entered the third grade that day, sighed as he faced the long hill leading up to the school gate.

Another sigh made him turn around to see a girl, also in the third grade, but unfamiliar to him, standing there. Her name is Nagisa Furukawa.

The two, who had never met before, exchanged just a few words and felt a little saved by each other, and began to go up the hill that they could not climb alone. ......
The story that begins there continues into the future, warmly embracing the people living in that town.

Character

Tomoya Okazaki
The main character. He is a third-year student at a school in the town where the story takes place. He lives with his father.
He is always late for school and is treated as a delinquent in the school.
He was a special sports student, but a minor altercation with his father resulted in an injury, and the injury cut off his future.
He has already given up on higher education, and looks askance at his classmates who are studying hard for entrance exams.

Nagisa Furukawa Voice: Mai Nakahara
If I could... I would like to create a drama club again.
A third-year student at the same school as the main character.
On the day she returns to school after a long absence, she meets the protagonist at the bottom of the long hill leading up to the school gate, where she is struggling with her thoughts. She faces many difficulties at school, but works hard together with the main character.
She is a little shy, but always tries her best. She is also strong and unbreakable, but she is always protective of others.

Anne Fujibayashi Voice: Ryo Hirohashi
If there was a girl who liked you, would you go out with her?
A girl in the class next to the main character. She is the chairperson of the committee.
In the second grade, she was in the same class as the main character.
She has a foul-mouthed and rough personality, but she takes good care of her students.
She secretly commutes to school on a motorcycle, which is against school rules.
Unlike her quiet younger sister Muku, she is an active character.

Ichinose Kotomi Voice: Noto Mamiko
She is surrounded by books and is very happy.
A classmate of the main character, she is the most brilliant student in her grade.
However, she often spends most of her time in the library reading books instead of attending class.

She is twin sisters with her older sister Anzu, who is the chairperson of the committee in the next class.
Unlike her sister, she is passive and quiet, but is still the class committee chairperson.

Father of Nagisa. He runs his own bakery with his wife Sanae.

The father of Tomoya Okazaki.
He raises Tomoya single-handedly, but when Tomoya is in his second year of high school, his father and son quarrel over a trivial matter, and Tomoya is injured.
