MEMORIES" will be broadcast on "Sunday Anime Gekijo" on BS12 Twelvi, a nationwide free-to-air broadcasting station.
BS12 Twelvi is currently broadcasting "Sunday Anime Gekijo" from 7:00 p.m. on Sunday nights, specializing in theatrical and feature-length animated programs.
This time, "MEMORIES" will be broadcast on this channel on Sunday, August 20, 2023.
This is an omnibus anime work consisting of three episodes produced under the executive producer's direction of Katsuhiro Otomo, the original author of the masterpiece "AKIRA.
The first episode, "Her Memories," depicts a lyrical horror story set on a spaceship in distress, while the second episode, "The Weapon with the Baddest Smell," is a black comedy about a man who accidentally takes an experimental drug in modern Japan.
The third episode, "Cannon City," was directed by Otomo himself, and the entire 22-minute film was produced in one cut, making it a must-see for Otomo fans. The music is also very special, with Takkyu Ishino of "Denki Groove" participating in the opening and ending.

Episode 1 "Her Thoughts
Year 2092. Heinz, Miguel, Ivanov, and Aoshima are independent contractors who earn money by collecting and dismantling "trash" such as wrecked ships and discarded satellites floating in space using their own spaceships. On their way home after completing their work, they receive a distress signal from Sargasso, the graveyard of the universe, and rush to the source to find an old spaceship in the shape of a giant rose.

Episode 2 "The Stinkiest Weapon
Winter in the Kofu Basin. Nobuo Tanaka, a laboratory worker at Nishibashi Pharmaceutical, takes a sample of a new drug under the illusion that it is a cold remedy. In fact, the sample is the product of top-secret research on weapons for germ warfare, commissioned by the government, and is a marvelous medicine that produces a gas from the body of a person who takes it that instantly renders unconscious any creature that smells it.

Episode 3 "Cannon Town
The boy lives in a mobile city heavily armed with countless cannons. There are turrets with super-sized cannons installed in various places in the city. The boy's father is a loader in turret No. 17. The boy's father is a loader at Battery 17, and his mother works at a shell factory. The city is at war with another country, and the "cannon" is the center of all civilian life.
