The 4K remastered version of Satoshi Kon's first feature film "Perfect Blue" will be screened nationwide on September 15 (Fri.)!

Perfect Blue" will be screened nationwide for a limited time from September 15, 2023 (Fri.) through the screening project "Prechcet" hosted by Filmarks.

Perfect Blue" is the first feature film directed by Satoshi Kon, a director who has received great support for all his works despite his limited output.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of MADHOUSE, which has produced many animated films, "Perfect Blue," which marks the 25th anniversary of its theatrical release this year, will be screened nationwide for a limited time from September 15 (Friday).

This will be the first screening of "Perfect Blue" in 4K remastered version, following its unveiling at the Madhouse 50th anniversary screening event to be held on August 26 (Sat.) and 27 (Sun.).
Some theaters will show the film in 2K. For details, please check each theater's website.

In addition, special offers will be distributed to visitors to the theaters. Details will be announced at a later date, so don't miss it.

＜Synopsis
Mima Kirikoshi suddenly leaves an idol group at the peak of its popularity and decides to become an actress. However, contrary to her expectations, she is bombarded with extreme photogravure and TV drama jobs. Mima is bewildered by the sudden changes in her surroundings. Then a series of murders occur, in which people related to her work become victims. Fans also send her messages saying that she is a traitor. The "other Mima" appears in front of her, trapped. Has she gone mad? Is this a dream?　Is the serial killer herself? Mima gradually becomes unable to distinguish between reality and fiction. What is the true nature of the "other self" she has seen?
