Special tsukemen noodles with super thick and hot tsukemen soup! Gorumen. Akihabara store" Tsukemen extra thick for 980 yen!

When you come to Akihabara, you may have a hard time deciding where to have lunch.

To help you decide, here are some Akiba eats that I, Shun Gori, who is always roaming around Akihabara even when I don't have any plans to visit, recommend.

As an Akibaite who likes to spend money on his hobbies, I will mainly introduce dishes that can be eaten for less than 1,000 yen, assuming that the amount of money you can spend for lunch is within 1,000 yen.

Akiba is one of the most hotly contested ramen areas in Japan. The hot weather has been continuing recently, and I am feeling a bit of a summer fatigue, so I tend to choose zarusoba or chilled chuka.

However, it is precisely at times like these that one should eat thick ramen with a lot of guts to build up one's stamina. However, Jiro-style ramen is a bit heavy for me, so I decided to try Tsukemen, a thick yet refreshing noodle soup. After much deliberation, I decided to visit the Akihabara branch of GORUMEN, which is known for its super-thick and hot tsukemen. The name "GORUMEN" is apparently an abbreviation of "GOLDEN RAMEN.

GORUMEN. Akihabara Branch is located along Kuramaebashi-dori Avenue, about a 7-minute walk from the Electric Town exit of JR Akihabara Station or a 1-minute walk from Suehirocho Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line.

The restaurant has a total of 15 seats, including 7 seats at the counter and 4 tables for 2 persons, making it spacious for a ramen restaurant in the Akiba area.

There is no specific lunch menu, and customers can either add toppings to the regular menu or order side dishes such as yaki-gyoza (grilled gyoza) and teppan fried rice.

You can change the consistency of the noodles, the thickness of the flavor, and the amount of oil, so let them know your preferences when you hand over your meal ticket.

This time, I was looking for the most popular dish, the "Golden Tsukemen" (830 yen), but since my budget was set at 1,000 yen, I went a little ahead and added the "Noodle Extra Large" (150 yen).

The first time you order tsukemen at GORUMEN, you may be surprised to find that the tsukemen soup is served in a boiling state. To prevent the dipping sauce from getting cold during the meal, the earthenware pot containing the dipping sauce is heated to a hot state so that it stays hot and tasty until the very end of the meal.

The soup is made from pork, chicken, and seafood, and it is thickly covered with fish powder. You can dissolve the fish powder in the broth at the beginning, or you can add it to the broth as you eat it.

The noodles are original thick and firm noodles. You can enjoy the taste of the super thick dipping sauce.

The default topping is a simple nori (seaweed), but there is chopped chashu pork in the dipping sauce.

As you continue eating, you will realize how important it is to keep the dipping sauce hot to the end. As you dip the noodles into the hot, ultra-thick dipping sauce and take it to your mouth, you realize with each mouthful that you are eating something delicious.

I thought I might have overdone it with the extra bowl of noodles, but in the end I ate it all up.

There is also grated garlic and soy sauce on the table, so you can adjust the flavor to your liking.

This time, we visited Golmen Akihabara, where you can enjoy hot tsukemen until the very end. Akihabara, where you can enjoy hot tsukemen until the very end. The hot "golden tsukemen" that you cannot experience at other ramen stores is very rich and satisfying. Even with a special serving of noodles, the price was less than 1,000 yen, making it a dish that will satisfy both your heart and stomach.

In addition, the "Shoyu Tonkotsu" (800 yen), "Shio Tonkotsu" (800 yen), and "Miso Tonkotsu" (830 yen) are also available, so be sure to try them all.

On the days that fall on a 5 (5th, 15th, and 25th) of each month, the restaurant offers "Golu no Hi", a special campaign offering special deals on ramen and tsukemen (noodles), so you may want to make a point of visiting on these days.
