The theater version of "Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045: The Last Human" will be released on November 23, 2023 (Thursday, national holiday).

Since the original comic by Masamune Shirow was published in "Young Magazine Kaizokuban" in 1989, the "Ghost in the Shell" series has surprised and inspired the world, including "Ghost in the Shell" (1995) directed by Mamoru Oshii.

The latest "GHOST IN THE SHELL SAC_2045" is double-directed by Kenji Kamiyama, who directed the "GHOST IN THE SHELL S.A.C." series, and Shinji Aramaki of the "APPLESEED" series.
Season 1 will be distributed exclusively worldwide on Netflix from April 2020 and Season 2 from May 2022, and "Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 Sustainable Warfare," a film version of Season 1 reconstructed with new scenes, will be released in theaters in November 2021.

The film begins with a tense scene in which Motoko Kusanagi questions Takashi Shimamura, who is connected to a large number of cords, about his true intentions. The film depicts the crisis of humanity caused by the raids brought about by post-humans and the fierce drama that awaits Public Security Section 9, raising expectations for the final film, which will be the culmination of the series. The film is a culmination of the series, and the anticipation for the final film is high.

Main Visual Revealed!

The main visual has been newly drawn by Ilya Kubushinobu, an up-and-coming illustrator and character designer of this work, who is attracting attention from all over the world. It depicts the main characters, including Motoko Kusanagi, the main character with a prosthetic body, Pudding Ezaki, a new member of Public Security Section 9, and Takashi Shimamura, a boy who is a "post-human" threat to humanity.

Following the previous production, "Sustainable War," the general directors are Kenji Kamiyama and Shinji Aramaki, who directed Season 2, and the director is Michito Fujii, who is also active in live-action films. I made [Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045] as a personal thank you to "Ghost in the Shell," a series I have been working with for the past 20 years as a director, but after a long time I was able to look back on my feelings during the production of the series with the movie version "The Last Human" directed by Fujii's team and realize how much I loved the Major. I was so happy to see the movie version of "The Last Human".
Once again, I would like to say thank you to Motoko Kusanagi. I would also like to thank Director Fujii for confirming that.

I remember that during the production of Season 2, I had a hard time deciding how to express the complex and enormous amount of information in the form of images.
I am confident that the newly reconstructed film from Director Fujii's point of view will completely transcend the framework of a compilation film, as was the case with Season 1, and will be re-created as a new theatrical film. I hope you all enjoy it!
