Yasuyuki Tai's Toys and Games Vol.33 MPG "Trainbot Suiken" Part 2

In the second half of the Trainbot Siken review, we will take a closer look at the range of motion and action of the robot mode.

Range of motion of the head. The face can be turned up, and the left and right sides can be turned about as far to the side as the left and right sides can be turned to the side.

Movable shoulders. The shoulders can be rotated around the axis of rotation, and the arms can be raised horizontally to swing them straight up.

There is also forward swing movement.

Roll rotation with the second arm. Elbows can be bent to a little over 90 degrees. The wrist can also roll and rotate. Four fingers, except the thumb, can be opened to grip weapons.

The backpack and the cloak-like parts of the shoulders can also be angled slightly, so you can make use of them when posing to create facial expressions.

Roll rotation at the waist.

This is a movable part when combined with Raiden, and can be used to tilt the upper body only to the right.

The waist armor can be moved, so the legs can be lifted up to about 90 degrees in the forward direction.

The side skirts can also be raised, so the legs can be opened to the left and right.

The knees can be bent approximately 90 degrees. They can roll and rotate on the thighs.

The ankles can extend, lift, and rotate the toes.

While the figure is capable of such complex deformations, it can be posed quite freely.

High kicks are also possible if the figure is balanced.

Here is a shot of her holding a weapon. The movable armored shoulder plates can also be used to create a sense of movement. Also, using the swing movement of the shoulders, I was able to pose her with her left hand on the grip.

Shooting pose with the body open. Here, too, the pose was created with the movement of the shoulder armor plates in mind.

The cannon on the backpack can also be pointed forward by changing its attachment position.

Raiden's weapon can only be held by combining the two, but by transforming it like this, it becomes a bazooka cannon,

It can be carried on the shoulder. Unlike the Storm Laser, there is no pin to insert it into the palm, so it cannot be fixed in place.

The backpack cannon can also be attached to the forearm.

Furthermore, the bazooka can also be transformed into a three-part configuration, with the front being the "incidental cannon," the "control cannon," and the "power cannon. ......

The incidental and control cannons can be held in Suiken's hands. The power cannon has a pin that attaches to Raiden's wrist, so it can probably only be held by Raiden.

So, Suiken, the wilderness warrior, is quite a well armed Cybertronian.

Here is a side-by-side view of the four Trainbot vehicle modes that have been released so far. If you think about it, the Shinkansen and Blue Train being in charge of both legs of the train would be impossible due to the size of the vehicles, but I'm looking forward to seeing how they will actually fit together when they are combined.

They are also aligned in robot mode. Even when viewed side by side, the armament of the Suiken is still the most complete so far. Overall, I love the style of this trainbot, which has some solid parts.

This time, the joint parts can be attached to the waist of Suiken, so if he has a stand, he can be posed in a more daring pose. That being the case, it hurts me even more that I missed out on the Takara Tomy Mall exclusive "Kaen/Reiden Box Set"!

Trying the combined form to Raiden!

Last but not least, let me show you the transformation to Raiden's left arm.

Remove the backpack, align the left and right legs, and stow the wrists. Undo the sliding movable parts of the chest and neck.

Move the shoulder armor plates to the sides and straighten both arms.

Replace the head and Raiden's wrists and deploy the shoulder armor plates.

Move the armor plates backward while lifting the arms.

Transform the armor plates to form the exterior of the train mode.

Cover the upper body with the formed exterior part,

Bend the knees 90° and open the panel on the entire thigh to complete Raiden's left arm.

Combine it with the sliding part of Raiden's shoulder.

This completes the merging of the left arm.

The elbow can be bent by moving some of the armor.

The fingers have movable parts at the root and second joint, and the thumb can also be opened. As expected of a giant combined warrior MPG, it moves well.

When Raiden's weapon is held, it looks like this.

The removed backpack can be transformed into a block shape.

Here is the block with the backpack transformed. This is attached to the legs.

Suiken's backpack is attached to the side of Yukikaze to complete the combination!

This is the combined form of each of the Trainbots released so far. We can see the shape now! In September, Seizan, which is also in charge of the right arm, will be released, and the last Kaen will be released after the New Year.

I saw a coloring prototype at a toy show the other day, and I feel comfortable with the modeling and style, but the Kaen's position on the Raiden is the "waist," which is where the weight is placed and stability is required, so I think it will be difficult to secure the strength. However, since it is an MPG product, I will wait for its release with peace of mind.

How was the introduction of Takara Tomy MPG Trainbot Suken? When we have all six of them, we would like to take comparison photos of the old and new Raiden, so let's look forward to the remaining two MPG models! (By the way, at the Toy Show, a head and chest of Raiden with different shapes and coloring were announced! Maybe the MPG project will continue!)
