Onmyoji," a novel by Baku Yumemakura, will be adapted into an anime for the first time and will be distributed exclusively by Netlix from November 28, 2023 (Tuesday).

The novel "Onmyoji," written by Baku Yumemakura, has been adapted to manga, live-action, stage, and other forms of media. It is a mystery work that features two Onmyoji, Abe no Seimei and Minamoto no Hiromasa, who actually existed during the Heian period, and depicts their confrontation with humans who have become demons.
The story is about Seimei, who is the most powerful Onmyoji in the city but has no interest in other people, and Hiromasa, who has no special powers but is sincere and cannot leave people in trouble alone, who are a couple of uneven buddies who team up to stop the evil acts of demons.

This is the first animated adaptation of the story, which will be distributed exclusively on Netlix from November 28, 2012 (Tuesday). The cast information, including Daisuke Namikawa and Yui Ishikawa, has also been released.

Daisuke Namikawa (playing Seimei Abe)

I have appeared on stage in plays based on Onmyoji and in a reading of Baku Yumemakura's "Onmyoji," so I feel a connection with this performance.
I am looking forward to seeing how the mysterious world of "Onmyoji," which has been loved for a long time and never fades away, will be colored in a way that only anime can express!

I had read Baku Yumemakura's Onmyoji, so I was very surprised and delighted to hear that I would be playing Michimitsu! I was very surprised and very happy to be able to play the role of Michimitsu.

My name is Daisuke Kishio, and I play the role of Kamo Yasunori. I am extremely honored to be involved in the work of my beloved Baku Yumemakura!
Kamo Yasunori is the brother of Abe no Seimei, but I have never played this type of role before, so it was a very fresh experience for me!
I had a lot of fun recording the scene, even though I had to fight with the elegant and difficult language.

Kenji Hamada (Prince Atsumi)
I played the role of Prince Atsumi, who is a healthy and pleasant person with status and talent.
He is also a man of great talent and a healthy and pleasant person, but he also has a lot of pain in his heart, and it was tough for me to get close to his feelings.
