Dead Dead Demons Dedede Destruction" (also known as "Dedede") is a masterpiece manga by manga artist Inio Asano, who has created numerous hits including "Soranin," which has been made into a live-action movie, and "Good Night Pumpen," which has sold over 3 million copies.
This work, serialized in Weekly Big Comic Spirits (Shogakukan) since 2014, tells the story of girls celebrating their daily adolescence in a world where a giant spaceship, known as the "mothership," suddenly attacks the skies over Tokyo, and the seemingly hopelessly abnormal situation gradually blends into everyday life. The teaser visual, newly drawn by Nobutaka Ito, who is in charge of character design and chief animation director, depicts a seemingly ordinary scene of two girls, Kadode and Ontan, the main characters of the film, hanging out on the roof of their school building, but above them is the mother ship of a huge spaceship. The result is a unique worldview that only Inio Asano could depict, where the ordinary and the extraordinary blend together.

The film will be directed by Tomoyuki Kurokawa, who directed the popular anime series "PSYCHO-PASS: Psycho-Pass," and the series composition and screenplay will be written by Tomoyuki Kurokawa, who also directed the "K-ON! series and "Violet Evergarden" series, and Nobutaka Ito of "The Night is Short and the Walking Girl" fame as character designer and chief animation director.
