Powerful ramen with a punchy soup, plenty of fatty back fat, and thick sticky noodles! Cho-Gotte-ryori Men Gottsu Akihabara Branch" Iekei Cho-Gottsu 1,000 yen!

When you come to Akihabara, you may have a hard time deciding where to have lunch.

To help you decide, here are some Akiba eats that I, Shun Gori, who always wander around Akihabara even when I don't have any business there, recommend.

As an Akibaite who likes to spend money on his hobbies, I would like to introduce some of the best Akiba lunches for less than 1,000 yen, assuming that you can spend less than 1,000 yen for lunch.

Akiba is one of the most hotly contested ramen areas in Japan, and with the lingering summer heat continuing well into September, people are likely to be running low on energy and stamina, and will tend to go for cold and refreshing foods.

But isn't this the time to eat thick, rich ramen noodles to give you stamina? After much deliberation, we decided to visit the Akihabara branch of "Cho-Gotteri Men Gottsu," which claims to be "Akiba's strongest thick ramen.

Cho-Gotteri Men Gottsu Akihabara Branch is located about a four-minute walk from the Showa-dori exit of JR Akihabara Station on Showa-dori Street in the direction of Okachimachi. The store is easy to find as it is decorated in a conspicuous red color that is easily recognizable at a glance.

The restaurant is small, with only a counter and 13 seats, but it is half-glass-walled, so it does not feel cramped.

There is no specific lunch menu, but one of medium, large, or half-size bowls of rice is free as a weekday-only service.

It says you need the official Gotsu app to get this service, but according to the manager, you don't need it.

However, if you have the app, you can accumulate points and receive coupons and other benefits, so it would be a good idea to include it.

You can change the consistency of the noodles, the thickness of the flavor, the amount of fat, and the thickness of the noodles, so let the manager know your preference when you hand in your meal ticket.

The most popular item is the "Special Shoyu Ramen" (1,350 yen), but since the budget for this project is set at 1,000 yen, I was wondering what to order when I saw a poster that caught my eye and made my decision at once.

The poster read, "I've got it!

The poster reads, "I've got it! A fusion of Iekei and extra fatty back fat! If you don't try it, I can't tell you anything! I had to try it." I was on a tight budget, so I decided to go for it. I was on a tight budget, so I decided to try the "Iekei Super Gottsu.

I decided on "Iekei Cho-Gotsu," with thick noodles, regular back fat, and a free bowl of half-rice, and I was ready to greet my hunger.

Toppings include five large pieces of nori (seaweed), two large pieces of chashu (pork), spinach, and kikurage (kikurage).

The soup is super thick, and with the addition of back fat chacha, the uniquely thick soup is truly delicious, with a mysterious sense of immorality with each sip!

You can choose from "super thick noodles," "thick noodles," or "thin noodles," but this time I asked for "thick noodles. The thick, chewy, firmer noodles were a happy combination with the soup.

Since half rice was added, it was nice to be able to bounce the noodles on the rice and have it as back fat rice, or eat it together with the rice, carbohydrate on carbohydrate, a very Akiba-like way to enjoy the dish.

You may even eat rice with seaweed that has absorbed the back fat soup.

The soup was so thick that I was tempted to drink it all up, but I decided to hold off for later.

If I had not been scheduled to cover the event later in the day, I would have certainly drunk all of it.

This time, I visited "Cho-Gotteri Meng Gottsu Akihabara," which claims to be "Akiba's strongest kottori.

The soup, which lives up to its name, is beyond "kottori," or "thick," and although it is only available on weekdays, the free "one medium, one large, or one half portion of rice" service makes it possible to completely satisfy for ¥1,000.

Other options include "Shoyu Ramen" (850 yen) and "Miso Ramen" (900 yen), so why not try "Akiba's Strongest Kottori"?
