12/22] "SPY x FAMILY CODE: White the Movie", Rinya Nakamura and Kento Garai will join as the original "enemy duo" in the movie!

It has been announced that Rinya Nakamura and Kento Kaku will play the roles of Dmitri and Luka, respectively, in "SPY×FAMILY CODE: White the Movie," which will be released on December 22, 2023 (Friday) as original movie characters.

SPY x FAMILY," a home comedy x action series about Lloyd, Yol, and Anya, who live together while hiding their true identities, is serialized by Tatsuya Endo in "Shonen Jump +". It has won numerous manga awards and was adapted into a TV anime by WIT STUDIO x CloverWorks in April 2022.
The story of "SPY x FAMILY CODE: White the Movie" begins when the whole family travels together for the first time to continue Lloyd's mission and Anya's star (Stella). The story follows the Forger family as they confront the many happenings that will affect the fate of the world when Anya eats a piece of delicious-looking chocolate that she found by chance.

It was announced that Dmitri, who appears as an original character in the film, will be played by Nakamura Rinya and Luka by Kagai Kento.

Rinya Nakamura and Kento Garai will join "SPY x FAMILY CODE: White the Movie" and their comments have also arrived!

The two play the antagonists, members of a special reconnaissance regiment of the military intelligence department who plot to overthrow the peace between East and West, and who stand in front of Anya after she eats a piece of chocolate that contains a big secret.
Nakamura and Kaku are both fans of the original story and anime, and Nakamura, who plays the role of Dmitri, a petulant man who tends to rely on fortune-telling, said, "I was very happy when I received the offer. However, the skeletal structure of the character was completely different from my own, so I wondered why me...? I also wondered why me...? I was excited when I heard that I would be paired with Kento and play a pair of villains who are also a bit comical. I was delighted at the same time to be offered the chance to perform with such an eminent cast.

The dubbing was actually done by the two of them talking to each other, and "I was groping my way through to the end. In my nearly 20 years as an actor, it's not often that I find myself in a situation where I don't know what's right or left, so the struggle was a lot of fun and a valuable experience for me (Nakamura)" and "I was full of anxiety until the very end. I felt the difficulty of voice acting, but I also learned a lot from participating in this project.
The two actors, who are good friends in real life as well, were full of humor in their dialogue, and the postrecording session ended with great praise from the staff.

Mr. Endo, the author of the original story, who was present during the postrecording, also commented, "I heard that Nakamura and Kaku are good friends, and their interaction during the recording was like a comedy and very enjoyable. The ad-lib dialogue between the two of them was perfectly in sync and funny, and even a scene where they said a different line from the script in the heat of the moment was so funny that it ended up being OK. I feel that they were able to flesh out the characters of Luca and Dmitri, who had been vague to me. I was very happy to hear that both of them have been reading Spy Family for a long time.

I was a fan of both the original story and the anime, so I was very happy when I heard about it.
However, the skeletal structure of the character was completely different from my own, so I thought "Why me...? I also thought, "Why me...? When I heard that I would be working with Kento as a pair of villains with a bit of a comical side, I was looking forward to the role.
The postrecording of an animated film requires a completely different set of muscles for expression than we usually use for our roles. I didn't know what I should do in such a situation, and even if I had an idea and tried it, I didn't know if I was doing it right, so I was groping my way through to the end.
In my nearly 20 years as an actor, it is rare to be in a situation where I don't know what is right and what is left, so the struggle was very enjoyable and a valuable experience for me. I received many compliments from the staff during postrecording (laugh).
The film will be released at the end of December, which is right around Christmas time in Japan.
I think it is a perfect film for children and people who like "SPY x FAMILY" to come and see.
I am sure that this work will dye the whole of Japan at the end of this year. Please look forward to it.

Kento Kaku (Playing the role of Luka)
When I read the original story, I thought, "There is such an interesting manga! I was so happy that I was offered the role of Luka by ...... and at the same time, I was very honored to have the opportunity to work with such a distinguished cast.
During the postrecording, I received many compliments, but I was so anxious until the very end that I did not know whether I should take them on faith or not. I learned a lot and did my best.
When I read the script, I thought it was perfect for any generation, any age, and any gender.
I believe that not only those who have always loved "SPY x FAMILY" will enjoy watching it, but also those who are watching it for the first time will have a great time as well.
The scale of the film version is unique to the movie version, and it is just like putting all of "SPY x FAMILY" together, so I think we can make the best movie version.

＜Synopsis
A time when the nations of the world were engaged in a fierce information war behind the scenes.
Lloyd Forger, a.k.a. "Twilight," a talented agent of WISE, the Western Intelligence Service, is on a routine mission when he receives an order to change his assignment for an ongoing operation called "Stricks. However, the new person chosen for the job was an incompetent man.

Meanwhile, at Eden School, a cooking class is to be held, and the winner is rumored to be awarded a "star". In order to show even the slightest progress in Operation STRIX and to negotiate with WISE to continue the mission, Lloyd proposes to Anya to make the "melee melee," a traditional pastry from the Frigis region that is a favorite of the principal of the school, who is also the head of the judging panel.
