Konami Digital Entertainment today released "Super Bomberman R 2" for PS5, PS4, Xbox, Steam, and Nintendo Switch on Thursday, September 14, 2023.

The "Bomberman" series is a party battle game that has long been popular for its simplicity and deep strategy. The player controls the main character (Bomberman) and wins by defeating all rivals in a battle using bombs.

The previous title "Super Bomberman R" was released in 2017, and "Super Bomberman R Online" was released in 2021 for free, and the current title "Super Bomberman R 2" is the latest in the series.

Super Bomberman R 2" adds a new battle mode, "Castle," which allows players to enjoy asymmetrical Bomberman battles. The series' first "Stage Editor" function allows players to create their own original stages and enjoy stages shared by other players.

In addition to the familiar "Standard" and "Grand Prix" battle modes, "Battle 64" allows up to 64 players to enjoy battles, while the "Story" mode, which can be enjoyed by a single player, has been enhanced with new friends and a new story. Cross-platform play is also possible in this title.
