The theme song information for the fall anime "SPY x FAMILY" Season 2, scheduled to air on TV Tokyo and other stations from October 2023, has been released, with the OP song by Ado and the ED song by Vaundy.

SPY x FAMILY," a home comedy x action series about Lloyd, Yol, and Anya, who live together while hiding their true identities, is currently serialized in "Shonen Jump +" by Tatsuya Endo. It has won numerous manga awards and was adapted into a TV anime by WIT STUDIO x CloverWorks in April 2022, gaining popularity.
In March this year, it was announced that the TV anime Season 2 will start airing in October, and that "SPY x FAMILY CODE: White the Movie," the first movie adaptation of "SPY x FAMILY" in history and a completely original episode, will be released on December 22.

The opening theme song for "SPY x FAMILY" Season 2 is "Kurakura" by Ado, and the ending theme song is "Todome no Ippatsu" feat. Cory Wong by Vaundy. Comments from both artists have also been received, and a Season 2 trailer featuring each theme song has also been released.

How did you feel when it was decided that you would be in charge of the opening theme song?
I am very happy to be in charge of the opening of "SPY x FAMILY" which I have been watching for a long time!

How did you feel when you read the original "SPY x FAMILY"?
When I read the original work, I sometimes feel as if the scenes are moving, and when I find a scene that makes me chuckle, I imagine what it would be like if it were made into an animation. I am very excited to see how the animation will unfold this time.

Please tell us about the name of the song and your thoughts behind it.
I hope the song expresses the classical coolness of "SPY×FAMILY" and the slapstick fun of everyday life as a family.
Some of the phrases sound as if they are spoken, so I hope you enjoy them!

Please give a message to those who are looking forward to the animation.
I think the Forger family will bring excitement to your lives again.
I don't think that feeling of "fun" is a temporary one. Let's enjoy the animation together!

How did you feel when it was decided that you would be in charge of the ending theme song?
I was anxious about whether I would be able to do it because it is a popular work, but I was also very excited.
I was honored to be asked.

How did you feel when you read the original story "SPY x FAMILY"?
When I was asked to write the ending theme song, I read the original story again while imagining the animation, and I found it to be a work with a comfortable tempo that kept me reading and reading.
I thought it would be difficult to express in the music how the characters' thoughts intersect with each other under the cover of their seemingly peaceful daily lives.

Please tell us about the name of the song and your thoughts behind it.
This song is about Yeol's inner conflict, and I wrote it to affirm her existence within the "family.
She is so strong that she seems to have nothing to lose, but in the end, I think it is okay for Yeol to protect her family.

Do you have a message for those who are looking forward to the anime?
Like everyone else, I can't wait for the weekly broadcast.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do "Todome no Ippatsu"!
