Winter anime "Kingdom" 5th series will air on January 6, 2024! Visuals depicting the army of Kankan and information on the cast including Kentaro Ito are released!

It has been decided that the fifth series of the TV anime "Kingdom" will begin airing on January 6, 2024 (Sat.) at 24:00 on NHK Sogo. In addition, the second key visual (SIDE KANKI GUN) and cast information have been announced.

Kingdom" (written by Yasuhisa Hara) is a Chinese Warring States epic romance about a boy, Nobu (CV: Seiichi Morita), who aims to become a great general under the heaven, and the future First Emperor, Isei (CV: Jun Fukuyama). The second live-action movie was released in July 2022 and gained popularity.

Motoki Sakuma as Maoron

In the 5th series, Hishintai and Hwan-ki forces fight a fierce battle against Zhao forces in Heo Yang.
The Huanqi army is composed of former thieves and is one of the top outlaw groups in the Qin army, who loot and massacre with impunity.
The character I play, Maron, is a gentlemanly character, which is rare among such Hwanki forces, but he is also a subordinate of Hwanki. I hope I can show that he has a quirk or two.

＜Synopsis
Qin Dynasty in western China, B.C.
As a young boy, Shin, a former servant who aspired to be a "great general under heaven" as he dreamed of with his late best friend Drifting, was involved in a coup d'etat for the throne of the Qin Dynasty, and fate brought him into contact with the 31st King of Qin, Yeisei.

As the leader of the "Hishintai," the Qin Army's "Flying Squadron," he and Yeisei aim to unify China, a goal that no one has ever achieved, and steadily rise through the ranks while engaging in friendly competition with generals of the same generation, such as Meng Ten and Wang Peng.
Meanwhile, Yomei, who took the throne of King Qin at a young age, also slowly built up his power within the court, and eventually regained control of the country from his rival Lu Fwei. With this, he finally embarked on his long-cherished plan to unify China in earnest.
