Gran Turismo 7 (GT7) was released in March 2022. It is a realistic driving simulator that incorporates all the elements that fans of the series have come to expect, and is designed to convey its deep culture and appeal even to players with no knowledge of cars or driving.

The PS5/PS4 "Gran Turismo 7" update, which includes new car models, an extra menu in the cafe, and the addition of the Scapes feature, will be available today, September 28, 2023, at 15:00 (Japan time).

The update, which will be available from September 28 (Thu.), will add the Garage RCR Civic, Honda Civic Type R '22, and MAZDA3 Gr.4 as newly included cars.

Porsche Supercars" and "GR" are also added to the cafe's extras menu. In addition, 29 new spots related to Brand Central "Nissan" will be added to Scapes.

Garage RCR Civic 8

Japanese high-performance compact cars are so popular around the world that a category called JDM (Japan Domestic Market) has been established, and at the 2017 SEMA show, this Honda Civic won the "Gran Turismo Award" given to the best custom car among the exhibitors. This Honda Civic, which won the "Gran Turismo Award" at the 2017 SEMA Show, is one such JDM-style custom car.

The most prominent features are a wide body kit, front splitter, and rear wing by the Japanese aero brand PANDEM, and a powerful carbon fiber hood based on a kit by J's Racing, another Japanese tuner. The interior was stripped clean and covered with a roll cage, and the seats were completely bucket type.

The engine is swapped into a Honda K24 inline-4, which was naturally aspirated when it appeared at the 2017 SEMA Show, but was later tuned, including turbocharging. It has achieved a significant increase in power.

The transmission is a Quaife 5-speed sequential transmission for the K model. The brakes were updated to a high-capacity system with Brembo calipers in both the front and rear.
Of course, the suspension is also designed for circuit use.

Honda Civic Type R '22
The traditional "R" model, which was added to the 11th generation Civic, emphasizes a sense of driving togetherness.

The sixth-generation Civic Type R was unveiled in September 2022, one year and three months after the world premiere of the FL-type, the 11th generation of the Civic, or "Sokai Civic.

The base model was a 5-door hatchback. Compared to the standard model, the Type R breaks away from the styling that made it look like a tuning car, and while satisfying the necessities of a sports model by adding front and rear aerodynamic parts and enlarging the front and rear fenders, it has a simple and mature design.

The power unit is a 2L straight-4 turbocharged K20C type, which is exclusive to the Type R. The new turbocharger delivers a maximum output of 330 PS, 10 PS higher than the previous generation, and a maximum torque of 42.83 kgfm, 2.04 kgfm higher than the previous generation. The engine's ECU control map has been precisely configured to improve response to gas pedal opening and accelerate the onset of torque.

The suspension uses an adaptive damper system with independent control of all four wheels, which has continued to evolve since its first use in the FK2 Civic Type R released in 2015. The FL5 model's roll/pitch control also takes into account the unsprung acceleration, which allows the driver to enjoy the same integrated and direct handling on both smooth and rough road surfaces, such as a circuit.

MAZDA3 Gr.4

MAZDA3 Bio concept is a racing car that uses next-generation biodiesel fuel, developed to run and demonstrate the Super Taikyu race in the 2023 season.

It is the successor to the Bioconcept Demio/MAZDA2 Bio concept, which has been running since 2021 to achieve both carbon neutrality and driving pleasure.

The MAZDA3 Bio concept differs from its predecessors in that it uses Susteo, a 100% next-generation biodiesel fuel made from waste food oil supplied by Euglena. The 2.2-liter SkyActiv D engine, which uses a fuel with the same molecular structure as commercially available diesel fuel, delivers 45.89 kgfm of torque and 240 PS to 260 PS of power.

Naturally, the body of the car has also been modified. To reduce weight, hybrid materials made of CFRP and natural fiber were used for the engine hood, roof, and other parts. In addition, to improve aerodynamics, the front and rear fenders have been enlarged, and a front spoiler, rear wing, and side skirts have been newly added.
The MAZDA3 Gr.4 that will be included in the compilation is an original Gran Turismo car based on the MAZDA3 Bio concept Super Taikyu specification car.
