Opening theme song: "Sleep Walking Orchestra" BUMP OF CHICKEN

BUMP OF CHICKEN Comment
I love "Dungeon Mei.
I have been following the series since its inception and have always been anxious to read the next installment as soon as possible.
When I received the offer to sing the theme song, I was very happy and honored, and at the same time, I was shaken by the fact that the one and only unique world and story would be reproduced in an anime, and the day would come when I would be able to see it, so I put all my feelings into the song.
I am very much looking forward to seeing the opening video.
I've never had it, I'm a little scared to try it, but I want to taste it, or it looks so good I want to try it...
I'm excited to see how the Senshi's dishes will turn out in the anime and I can't wait for it to air.

Dungeon Mei" PV Part 1

In this PV, Laios and his friends challenge the dungeon in order to save their sister, Falyn, who has been eaten by the Red Dragon.

A commemorative illustration by the original author, Ryoko Kui, has arrived!

In conjunction with the release of the first PV, a commemorative illustration has arrived from the original story's creator, Ryoko Kui!
The illustration depicts Laios and his friends in front of a running aquatic horse (Kelpie) that looks like a frame from an animation.

Information on additional characters and cast members has been released! Comments also arrived!

The visuals and cast information of additional characters have been released, including Saori Hayami as Farin, the sister of Laios, Akira Miki as Namari, a party member with Laios and his friends, and Shinji Kawada as Shuro. In addition, comments from the cast have also arrived.

■Farin (CV: Saori Hayami)

A sorceress who explores the labyrinth with her brother Laios. Unlike Marcille, she is mainly responsible for strengthening, restoring, and removing spirits. During a battle with a red dragon deep in the dungeon, she protects Laios and is eaten.

Saori Hayami Comment
I have been drawn into the unique rhythm of seriousness, comedy, and warmth of "Dungeon Mei" ever since I read the original story, so I am very happy to be able to play the role of Farin.
Farin is a curious, kind-hearted and mild-mannered person, just like his older brother Laios. There are many surprising twists and turns in the story, and I am doing my best and having fun while dubbing.
The postrecording studio is filled with an atmosphere where everyone involved is facing the work with a lot of love and affection.
Please enjoy the world of "Dungeon Mei" while eating delicious food!

■Namari (CV: Akira Miki)

A dwarf who used to adventure with Laios and his friends. A professional fighter, she is knowledgeable about weapons and has a keen sense of how to use them. He left Laios' party after Farin was eaten by a red dragon.

Akira Miki Comment
My name is Akira Miki, and I will be voicing Namari.
The original work had a very satisfying final episode, and now we have a full-fledged TV anime adaptation! I am really happy to be able to relive the story as Namari, in a site where I can feel the respect for the original work with great care and attention. Personally, I love the Mandrake in the second teaser visual, who looks so cute and comfortable as if he is soaking in a hot spring.
Speaking of being happy, I was enjoying "Shibuya Dungeon Mei" secretly by myself, so from now on, I can get excited with all of you if there is anything I can do. ...... I am smiling. I'm looking forward to watching the show with a glass of sake in my hand while taking care of my health, of course!

Shuro (CV: Shinji Kawada)

He is a skilled swordsman who carries a sword, the weapon of the East. He was exploring the labyrinth as a member of the party with Laios and others. Like Namari, he left the party after Farin was eaten by a red dragon.

Shinji Kawada Comment
I am very happy and honored to be able to participate in the very popular "Dungeon Meal"!
I am very excited to imagine the taste of the dishes made from various ingredients (demons)! I was drawn into the story by the fascinating individual characters!
I will do my best to play the role of Shuro, who is a simple but serious boy and a master swordsman, while having a lot of fun! Thank you very much for your support!

Comments from the main staff have also been released!

In conjunction with the release of the first PV, comments from the main staff were also released.

Yoshihiro Miyajima (Director)
All the staff are working hard on the production.
Please give us your support for the "Dungeon Mei" anime!

Kimiko Ueno (Series Composition)
I tried to structure the story so as not to destroy the world view of the original work when adapting it into an anime.
I tried to put the excitement I felt when I read the original story for the first time into the script.
Whether you are already a fan of "Dungeon Meal" or have never read the original, I hope you will join Laios and his friends on their journey through the labyrinth and enjoy the bizarre gourmet delights.

Naoki Takeda (Character Design)
I am very happy to be in charge of character design for my favorite work!
I will do my best as the chief animation director to carefully pick up the fun I felt when I first read the original work and the lively interactions between the Laios and their friends!

Yasunori Mitsuda (Music)
As you can see from the PV, the theme of the music in this work is "medieval antique music".
Medieval music" is music that was played in Europe before the 15th century (before the Renaissance), and ancient instruments are said to be the ancestors of modern musical instruments.
Today, there are few people who can play these instruments, and the instruments themselves are difficult to obtain, so it is very difficult to combine this kind of music with modern music.
We hope that you will enjoy the very unique sound along with the animation.

*Comments are in Japanese only.
