High-Speed Action "Sonic Superstars" Released Today! Introducing the new "Emerald Power" ability and some adventure zones!

Sonic Superstars, a completely new title in Sega's high-speed action "Sonic the Hedgehog" series, went on sale today, October 17, 2023 (Tuesday). A launch trailer was also released to commemorate the title's release.

PlayStation5/PlayStation4/Nintendo Switch/Xbox Series X|S/Xbox One/PC (Steam/Epic Games Store) "Sonic Superstars" retains the playability of the 2D side-scrolling "Sonic" series, but has evolved with 3D graphics. Sonic Super Stars" is a brand-new high-speed action game that retains the playability of the 2D side-scrolling "Sonic" series, but evolves it with 3D graphics.

The new adventure of Sonic and his friends Tails, Knuckles, and Emmy takes place on the mysterious "North Star Islands," an island inhabited by giant creatures. They use their new "Emerald Power" ability to fight Dr. Eggman and Fang, who are plotting to capture the giant creatures for their own ambitions.

In addition, for the first time in the series, this title features offline multiplayer, allowing up to four players to play the story mode in cooperation, and "Battle Mode" can be enjoyed both offline and online.

Playable characters full of personality!

In "Sonic Superstars," not only Sonic but also his friends Tails, Knuckles, and Emmy appear as playable characters.
In addition to basic actions such as "Spin Dash," in which they jump and spin forward at high speed, Sonic has "Drop Dash," Tails has "Flight," Knuckles has "Glide" and "Wall Climb," and Emmy has "Hammer Attack," among other unique skills.

Emerald Power", a new power

In this title, each time you gain Chaos Emeralds in the special stages hidden in the ACT, a new ability, "Emerald Power," will be released. For the first time in the series, this title supports offline multiplayer, allowing up to four players to cooperate in the story mode, and the "Battle Mode" can be enjoyed both offline and online. In the online Battle Mode, up to 8 players from around the world can engage in battles with various rules!
