Ratchet and Clank's crazy adventure beyond dimensions begins!

Ratchet and Clank" is an action game series featuring Ratchet, a young Lombax man, and his sidekick Clank. It is one of the most popular series on PlayStation (PS), starting with the first installment released on PS2 in 2002, and has been developed for PSP, PS3, PS4, and other successive PS hardware.

This title, "Ratchet & Clank: Parallel Trouble," is the latest in the series and is a Steam port of the title released for PS5 in June 2021. The fact that a title from one of PlayStation's most popular series can be played on the PC is enough to get me excited. I am sure that there are many PC gamers who are excited just by the fact that they can play a title from one of PlayStation's most popular series on their PC.

Before introducing this title, let me first introduce the main characters, Ratchet and Clank, who are also the title of the game.

Ratchet is a survivor of the Lombax tribe, a boy who loves tinkering with machines. He and his partner Clank are the heroes who have protected the galaxy many times from bad guys such as Doctor Nefarious by defeating enemies with their wrench-shaped weapons, the Omwrench and the GalaMecha. With his strong sense of justice and friendliness, he is truly the hero of shonen manga, and is loved by all players.

Crank is Ratchet's partner and best friend, and the robot in charge of the duo's brains. Since meeting Ratchet on the planet Beldin, he has worked with Ratchet through many adventures and saved the galaxy from the hands of evil. The lively banter between Ratchet and Clank during their adventures is one of the main attractions of the "Ratchet & Clank" series.

The story of this film is about such a duo, Ratchet and Clank, fighting an evil robot emperor who is working to exterminate life in the galaxy. Ratchet and Clank's crazy adventures that transcend dimensions are truly a "parallel trouble! The story is filled with excitement and thrills, involving the other main character, "Rivet," a Lombax woman.

This is an orthodox style 3D action game in which players run around a beautifully rendered 3D field, knocking down enemies as they advance. The first thing to note about this game is its graphics, which can be operated by any player in an enjoyable and intuitive manner. The detailed and beautifully rendered graphics, which look like something out of an animated film, are stunning.

In this game, the player can actually control a character and run around in an animated movie-like world. The game features movie scenes at various points during the game, but the transition from the movie scenes to the game is seamless, giving the player the realistic illusion that they are actually "playing the animation movie" themselves. This immersive game experience is something that must be experienced firsthand.

The speed and exhilaration of the action is another element that adds to the immersive experience. Swinging an omu wrench, the player blows away approaching enemies and objects on the field one after another, and wipes out enemies using a variety of weapons called "gara-mechas. The action unfolds quickly and without any sluggishness.

In addition, the new "Rift Tether" and "Phantom Dash" actions are extremely exhilarating! The "Rift Tether" launches a rope toward a dimensional rift, allowing the player to move instantly to that spot, while the "Phantom Dash" allows the player to dash forward with invincibility. By making full use of these actions, Ratchet's already speedy actions become spectacularly fast and exhilarating! When you combine the two-step jump and phantom dash to move far away while avoiding the onslaught of enemies, your brain juices are sure to be pumping.

The variety of tools called "Garamekas" is an indispensable part of the game's charm. Unlike the basic melee weapons and wrenches, each tool has a different function and performance. They are obtained by purchasing them from stores along the way and switching between them. Switching is done by opening the wheel, and up to four favorite ones can be registered as shortcuts to the cross key.
