PlayStation5, new model available today! Storage expands to 1TB, Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive removable

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) launched the new PlayStation 5 (PS5) model today, Friday, November 10, 2023.

The new models released today are more than 30% smaller in size and 18% and 24% lighter in weight compared to previous models, respectively, for the disc drive-equipped model and the digital edition, while maintaining the technology and features that make the PS5 gaming experience possible. The Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive is removable, and the internal SSD storage capacity has been increased to 1TB.

The PlayStation5 DualSense Wireless Controller Double Pack includes a second DualSense wireless controller in addition to the PS5 console and the included DualSense wireless controller. The controller can be used not only for enjoying local multiplayer with family and friends, but also for the "Remote Play" function that allows users to remotely control PS5 from devices such as smartphones and PCs.
