Satisfaction at 980 yen! Authentic spiced Indian curry "SPICE BISTRO ZEERA Akihabara" 2 color curry set!

When you come to Akihabara, you may have a hard time deciding where to have lunch.

In order to help you choose the right place for lunch, here are some Akiba eats recommended by Shun Gori, who is a frequent visitor to Akihabara even when he has no other business in Akihabara.

As an Akibaite who likes to spend his money on his hobbies, I will mainly introduce dishes that can be eaten for less than 1,000 yen, assuming that the amount of money you can spend for lunch is within 1,000 yen.

Akiba is a battleground for ramen, but you may get bored with ramen all the time, and you want to fill up for less than 1,000 yen, preferably with food that stimulates your appetite. Is there a restaurant that can satisfy such desires?

After much thought and consideration, we have come up with SPICE BISTRO ZEERA Akihabara, a restaurant that satisfies all three criteria: it is not ramen, it offers all-you-can-eat naan during lunch time, and the spices stimulate the appetite.

SPICE BISTRO ZEERA Akihabara is an authentic Indian restaurant that opened in June 2023 on the 5th floor of a building along Chuo-dori Avenue, about a 4-minute walk from JR Akihabara Station.

When you get off the elevator on the 5th floor, a stylish sign welcomes you.

The restaurant is quite spacious with 40 seats at tables only. The restaurant is stylishly decorated, and seats that can be partitioned off to make private rooms are also available for drinks and parties.

The lunch menu offers a choice of six types of curry, from the "Indian Curry Set" for 880 yen to the "Special Set" for 1,380 yen, which includes two types of curry, tandoori chicken and seekh kebab, so if you want to try different types of curry, choose two or three colors, or if you also want to eat meat, try the Chicken biryani and specials are also recommended.

If you choose naan or rice, you can eat as much as you want, and if you choose rice, you can eat up to 500 grams of rice for free, so you are sure to be full.

Since our budget for this project was set at 1,000 yen or less, we selected the "2-Color Curry Set" for 980 yen to make the most of our budget.

For my choice of curry, I selected Murgi Murga, which is dry and contains chicken, because I was in the mood for meat, and Zinga Zinga, because I wanted to try a sweet one.

The naan starts baking after you order it, so you have to wait a bit, but instead it was delivered piping hot.

The naan would be a rather large portion. I didn't have anything to compare it with, so I put my palms side by side, but it was clearly the size of two palms. And since this is the lunch menu, it is all-you-can-eat.

In the foreground is the dry murghi murgha, and in the back is the sweet jinga jinga.

The naan is freshly baked, so be careful not to burn yourself when tearing it apart with your hands.

First, let's start with the dry murghi murgha. It is a spicy chicken curry with a strong spice.
It is not too spicy that you cannot taste it, but has a good balance of spiciness and deliciousness.

It has a good balance of spiciness and flavor, and the large pieces of chicken inside make it a satisfying meal.

The sweet Zinga Zinga is a curry with mushrooms and shrimp.

It is a coconut milk-based curry, and while it is well spiced, the sweetness of the coconut milk is just right.

The mushrooms and prawns were very pronounced.

Since I skipped breakfast that day, I thought I would be able to have at least one second helping of naan, but the portion was much larger than I had imagined, and I was too full to have another helping of naan.

I finished off the yogurt that was served with it and was very satisfied!

In the evening, you can order different kinds of curries and alcoholic beverages from the lunch menu, so if you are in Akihabara and want to have dinner as well, it would be a good idea to stop by.

This time, we would like to introduce you to SPICE BISTRO ZEERA Akihabara, where you can enjoy authentic Indian cuisine in a stylish atmosphere.

At lunch time, you can fill up on a hearty meal for only 980 yen, so if you are having trouble finding lunch in Akihabara, be sure to give this restaurant a try.
