Akira Toriyama's World in Full Display "SAND LAND: THE SERIES" to be Distributed in Spring 2024! New chapters will be added to the series, as well as previously unseen cuts from the film version!

SAND LAND: THE SERIES," a STAR animation series based on manga artist Akira Toriyama's masterpiece, will be distributed exclusively worldwide on Disney's official video distribution service "Disney+ (Disney Plus)" and "Star" from spring 2024.

In "SAND LAND," based on the manga by Akira Toriyama, the demon prince Beelzebub forms a strange trio with the demon Shifu and the human sheriff Rao in the desert country of Sandland, where both demons and humans are suffering from water shortages, and sets out on a journey to find a "fantastic spring" somewhere in the desert.

＜Story
Sandland, a country in the desert where both demons and humans suffer from a severe water shortage. The people depend on expensive water sold by the king for their livelihood.
Rao, a human sheriff with a strong sense of justice, decides to embark on a journey to find the "Phantom Fountain" and asks the demons to help him.
Beelzebub, the son of Satan, the king of demons, sets off with Rao and his chaperone, the demon Sifu, in search of the Phantom Fountain.
Beelzebub has a childish charm, saying, "I stayed up late and went to bed without brushing my teeth," but he is also a fighter who can dispatch any enemy that attacks him. Rao, the sheriff of the village, is well-liked and has the personality to treat the demons like a gentleman.
And then there is Sifu, a thief who is actually not much older than Beelzebub, but is treated like an old man because of his appearance and the way he talks.
Through his journey with Beelzebub and his friends, Rao eventually realizes that demons are not "enemies of humans.
