Relay interview with the winter anime "Bermuda Triangle" which started airing today! The final interview is with Rarisa Tago Takeda, who plays the role of Sonata!

A relay interview with the new anime "Bermuda Triangle ~Colorful Pastorale~" that will color the winter of 2019 has begun!

Bermuda Triangle ~Colorful Pastorale~" is a spin-off of the trading card game-themed anime "Cardfight! Vanguard," which has been a series of trading card game-themed anime that has been running since the winter of 2011 through the spring of 2018. It depicts the daily life of the mermaid idol "Bermuda △ (Triangle)," which boasts immense popularity in "Vanguard," until its formation.

The original character design is by Takuya Fujima of "Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha ViVid" fame. The collaboration of popular creators, such as director Junji Nishimura and series composition by Michiko Yokote, is also a delight, but the cast of "Bermuda △" is the most interesting!

Akiba Research Institute" asked the cast members of "Bermuda△" about the appeal of this work!

--What kind of character is Sonata? What kind of character is Sonata and how do you feel about playing her?

Takeda: The character I play, Sonata, is the organizer of everyone! When I auditioned, I heard that she was a "committee chairperson type," so I wondered if she was a crisp girl. But when I actually read the script for the first episode, I was surprised to see that she is a normal girl ....... Maybe that's why she is able to bring together all the unique personalities of the mermaids.

She is a very kind girl who looks out for others and is considerate, but on the other hand, when it comes to herself, she instantly becomes indecisive, and for me, she was an easy girl to get emotionally involved with.

--Bermuda△" was originally an idol unit popular in the "Cardfight! Vanguard", were you aware of their existence?　Also, what did you think when you first heard about the "Mermaid Idol" setting?

Takeda: In the beginning, I only knew of "The Devil's Sea Area" from ....... When I first saw the title in the audition draft, I was a bit surprised (laughs). When I was little, I liked a certain mermaid girls' manga, so when I heard "Mermaid Idol," I thought, "Is it like that? When I heard about "Mermaid Idol," I thought, "Is it like that? The actual content was completely different (laughs).

--What do you think is the charm and highlight of this work?

Takeda: The best thing is the world view! It is a story about a mermaid, so it takes place in the sea, and the backgrounds and sound effects are very beautiful! Even the sound of moving around is not the sound of shoes, but the sound of water and air, "kopopopop......". At night, there is no electricity, so the lights of plants and animals are used to express the night scene. .... Each and every expression unique to this work is really beautiful.

--What scenes in this work, to the extent that you are able to talk about them, were memorable for you? Also, what do you think are the highlights of the anime?

Takeda: The five mermaid friends are always together, so the timing when they face a problem is usually the same, but they all have completely different opinions and comments about things! There are lines throughout the story that show how the five of them see the world in different ways, so I hope you will enjoy that as well.

--What was the atmosphere like at the recording studio?　Do you have any impressive episodes from the recording sessions?

Takeda: The atmosphere at the recording studio (......) is exactly the same as that of the mermaids in the film (laugh). (Laughs) Since there are only women in the mermaid village, the recording studio is inevitably full of female voice actors, which is a lot of fun! I often think about how I used to feel during recess at school.

I often think back to how we used to feel during recess at school. The topics of conversation changed so rapidly, such as sweets and clothes, that Nojima (Hiroshi), who played the role of the seal postman, said, "I gave up trying to keep up with the conversation" (laughs).

(Laughs) -- In this production, you will be co-starring with Kikuko Inoue, Noriko Hidaka, and other senior cast members. Did you have any interactions or learn anything from the senior cast members?

Takeda: With so many newcomers, including myself, there are times when I feel like I am losing heart because of the retakes, but it is Inoue-san and Hidaka-san who cheer me up at such times. They are like mothers who warmly watch over us on set as they did in the film.

They are both great people, but when they were sharing a banana, Mr. Hidaka broke the banana and the ratio was about 7:3, and he shared the bigger one with Inoue-san. It was so funny to see her sharing the larger one with Ms. Inoue.

--You sang the ending theme song "Shabon.　Please tell us what you thought of it when you sang it.

Takeda The song has a slightly retro tone, or rather, a cute atmosphere that could be played in a small theater, making it a perfect fit for the work.

We sang it as a group of five mermaid chums, and since we all focus on the characters, we all sing in very different ways, and I think you will enjoy the differences.

--I think you will enjoy the differences between them.

Takeda: It is a very gentle and cute work. Please come and be healed by the colorful and pastel mermaids' everyday life!
