New visuals, spacer designs, and character visuals for the TV anime "Grendizer II," scheduled to begin airing in 2024, have been revealed, and the first batch of cast information has also been announced.

UFO Robo Grendizer," based on the original story by Go Nagai, is a robot hero that has gained popularity since its anime broadcast in 1975 as the third installment of the "Mazinger Z" series.
Despite its long run of 74 episodes, the average viewer rating exceeded 20%, and its popularity spread across the seas to Europe, the Middle East, and South America, and along with "Mazinger Z" and other series, it is still a popular work with enthusiastic fans around the world.
The legendary anime has been revived over 50 years and will be broadcast in 2024 as "Grendizer II".

■Jiyu Irino (Playing the role of Duke Fried)

As Duke Fried, the main character of Go Nagai's work! I was very surprised when I heard the result of the audition. I am very happy to be involved in this work that is loved all over the world.
In France, the film had an astonishing 100% viewer rating. Please look forward to seeing how we will revive this legendary work in the modern age! At the postrecording site, we are constantly pursuing newness while following the tradition of Grendizer up to now.
It is especially difficult to find ways to incorporate special moves and key lines.
I hope to enjoy this journey together with Duke, while taking in the joy of being able to pilot a robot.

When I actually received the scripts, I had the impression that each episode had a large development and the characters had strong personalities, and as I got caught up in the whirlpool of the story, the episode seemed to end in the blink of an eye.

I studied in my own way what the essential part of Mr. Go Nagai's "aesthetics in mecha design" is, and put it into the design so that I can convey its charm to everyone who sees it.

Grendizer was a work that was created before I was born, so when I was in charge of mechanical design, I tried to express in colors and shapes what the culture, style, and visuals of the time looked like from the perspective of a person who was not of that generation.
