A new store is being prepared at the former site of "Sakimoto Akihabara", a high-end bread specialty store that closed in April 2023.
The location is in the east-west free passageway connecting the Electric Town exit and the central exit of JR Akihabara Station. As of November 16, the interior was finished and the exterior was under construction.
The new store is called "Pie Mania" and is the first store of a new business model operated by Kobeya Co. The store will make and sell apple pies in the store, which will bring a new type of sweets to Akihabara, where crepes and taiyaki come to mind when one thinks of sweets.
