Mini 4WD and TOMICA collaborate! TOMICA PREMIUM UNLIMITED MINI 4WD AVANTE Jr.", a reproduction of the "legendary machine", will be released in mid-January 2024!

As a new product in the "Tomica Premium unlimited" series for adults based on the themes of movies, anime, and dramas by Tomy "Tomica", "Tomica Premium unlimited Mini 4WD Avante Jr." and "Tomica Premium unlimited Mini 4WD Avante Jr. Black Special" will be released in mid-January 2024. They will be priced at 1,430 yen each (tax included), and reservations will be accepted at "Takara Tomy Mall" from November 30, 2023 (Thursday).

The "Mini 4WD Avante Jr." has sold more units than any other Mini 4WD machine in history, and is considered a legendary machine that symbolizes the Mini 4WD boom.
This series comes in two colors, the bright blue "Avante Jr." and the special "Avante Jr. Black Special". The die-cast body is fully painted to recreate the design of the machine as much as possible, and with the inclusion of rotating roller action and a tribute to the packaging design of the mini 4WD when it was first released, the finish is sure to satisfy even the most discerning mini 4WD fan.

This collaboration is a perfect fit with Tamiya's products and TOMICA, which share the commonality of being a "car hobby" and a "long-selling brand that has been loved for a long time". The idea was to "get fans of each brand and adults who used to play with each brand interested in each other's brands".

The legendary machine that symbolized the mini 4WD boom in the late 1980s, "Avante Jr." and its special color "Avante Jr. Black Special" are represented in Tomica. The die-cast body is fully painted with no stickers, and the machine design is reproduced as much as possible, including the placement of the logo, as well as the rotating action of the rollers, which play an important role in mini 4WD.
The packaging is a tribute to the original Mini 4WD packaging of the time, with a "cover box" design. The "cover box" design is a rarity in the current Tomica lineup.

The second series of Tomica models will be based on the two main characters in the popular "Bakushan Brothers Let's Go‼" comic and anime series (the comic was serialized in Shogakukan's "Monthly Corocoro Comic" from 1994, and the anime was broadcast on TV Tokyo from 1996). The release is scheduled for next spring, so keep checking back for more information.
