The Blu-ray box containing both "Space Battleship Yamato 2205: A New Journey" and "The Era of 'Space Battleship Yamato': Selection in the Year 2202 A.D." will be released on March 27, 2024 (Wednesday). It will also include the stage greetings and talk events held during the theater screenings as video extras.

Space Battleship Yamato 2205: A New Journey" is the latest in the series, bringing together elements from "Space Battleship Yamato: A New Journey," which was broadcast as a TV special (1979). The film depicts a major space epic in two chapters, with "Yamato's next generation crew" and "interstellar war at the galactic level" at its core.

And "The Era of 'Space Battleship Yamato': The Choice of the Year 2202 A.D." is an adaptation of the "Space Battleship Yamato 2199" anime series that was screened theatrically and broadcast on TV from 2012 to 2014, and its sequel, "Space Battleship Yamato 2202: Warriors of Love," which was screened theatrically and broadcast on TV from 2017 to 2019, with The work is reconstructed with new cuts and newly recorded narration.

Both films will be included in the first video package with video extras such as the stage greetings held at the theatrical screenings and the theatrical events "Yama Talk" and "Propaganda Conference".
