Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY Special Edition HD Remaster" is a special compilation of the TV series "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED" and "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY" and will be released on January 26, 2024 (Friday). It will be screened for two weeks each at about 50 theaters nationwide starting August 25, 2023, and finally reached its finale on Saturday, December 2 at TOHO Cinemas LaLaport in Fukuoka.

The "Lighting Ceremony of the Full-Size Nu Gundam Standing Statue" was held to commemorate the lighting up of the full-size Nu Gundam standing statue in Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport Fukuoka Forest Park in the motif of "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM".

The finale of the "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY Special Edition HD Remaster" stage greeting

The "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY Special Edition HD Remaster", a special compilation of the TV series "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED" and "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY", will be released in theaters on January 26, 2012 (Friday). The seven-part "Special Edition HD Remaster" was continuously screened at the theater.
The finale was held at TOHO Cinemas LaLaport Fukuoka on this day. To commemorate the consecutive screenings, Sougaeru Hoshi, who played Kira Yamato, and Kenkei Suzumura, who played Shin Asuka, took the stage and started the stage greeting.

Speaking about the character he played at the time, Hoshi said, "I had just played the grown-up Kira in the movie version, so (looking back on Kira in "Destiny") I had a strange feeling. Kira's growth from the troubled, crying Kira of "Gundam Seed" to the more mature Kira of "Destiny" was amazing.
On the other hand, Suzumura said, "Shin is basically a cheerful person. Before the recording of "FREEDOM," we talked with the director about how Shin is really a cheerful guy, but the story of "DESTINY" is a story about a cheerful guy who is held back and can't let go of his cheerfulness on the screen. Looking back on the fact that Shin's brightness turned out that way when he got involved in the war, I feel that he was doing his best to be healthy. I had a lot of mental difficulties while doing it.
Looking back on the 19 years that have passed and the fact that he will turn 50 next year, he said, "Shin is like a real son to me, and I can see how adorable he is now.

After almost 20 years, the long-awaited new film was scheduled to be released in theaters. Hoshi replied, "I would like to tell him that there really is a sequel. The life-size ν Gundam statue on display at LaLaport Fukuoka is the tallest of all the life-size Gundam statues in the series, and as the first Gundam statue to be installed in western Japan, it is popular among Gundam fans in Japan and abroad.
From December 2 (Sat) to February 18 (Sun), 2024, the statue will be illuminated for a limited time during the winter season in the motif of "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM". On the wall behind the statue, a specially edited video looking back on the "Gundam SEED series" with "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY" as its centerpiece will be shown, in conjunction with the life-size Unicorn Gundam standing statue on display in Odaiba, Tokyo. To commemorate the release of the movie version, Hoshi and Suzumura took the stage for a talk show and light-up ceremony.

When asked about the appeal of the "Gundam SEED series," Hoshi replied, "I think the Gundam SEED series is a new entertainment series that can be enjoyed by all generations while maintaining the goodness of the Gundam series, so I hope that people will be emotionally invested in Kira and grow up with her. I hope that you will grow up with Kira and experience the "world of Gundam SEED".
Suzumura added to Hoshi's emphatic words, "Please don't just watch one of the films, watch them all! I hope you will enjoy the "world of Gundam SEED".

The fourth PV of "Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Freedom" was shown in the hall, and the talk turned to the recording sessions for "Gundam Seed Freedom" that had already taken place.
Yasushi said, "I have done a lot of dialogue for "Gundam Seed" and "Destiny," but I was really happy to see Kira's new lines in the setting two years later. Please look forward to seeing what great lines will come out of it.

After the talk show, the lighting ceremony began. Hoshi was surprised at the size of the statue, saying, "I still can't see the face of the Nu Gundam from my feet. Hoshi and Suzumura's "Kira Yamato, Shin Asuka, let's go! the life-size Nu Gundam statue was lit up. The statue was decorated with the "Rising Freedom Gundam/Immortal Justice Gundam," mobile suits that will appear in the latest work.
Looking at the illuminated statue, Hoshi expressed his gratitude, saying, "I am happy to have this special collaboration with (RX-93ff) Nu Gundam for 'FREEDOM.

＜PROLOGUE＞
C.E. (Cosmic Era).
An era in which genes are adjusted and there are humans who are born with superior physical abilities and brains (Coordinators) and humans who are born as they are (Naturals).
Ideologies of the "Coordinators" and "Naturals" clashed over their own existence, leading to a war using military force.
In the midst of the war, the "Destiny Plan," a system to create a world without competition by forcing each individual to take on a role, was proposed, but in order to protect the free future and hope of mankind, the "Destiny Plan" was rejected in the midst of the war.
The war came to an end at the cost of many lives, but the conflict and hatred between the two races of mankind continues to smolder in various parts of the world.
