Five Star Stories" Mamoru Nagano's First Large-Scale Exhibition to be Held! Starting February 10, 2024 (Saturday) at the EJ Anime Museum

DESIGNS Mamoru Nagano Design Exhibition" will be held at EJ Anime Museum from February 10, 2024 (Sat) to March 24, 2024 (Sun ). (Sun.) at the EJ Anime Museum.

Mamoru Nagano has been at the forefront of creative and innovative design since his career began in 1983, and his work on the 1984-1985 TV anime "Jyu Senki El-Gaim" (produced by Sunrise), in which he designed all the robots and other mecha as well as all the characters, was a big hit. The work became a major topic of conversation. The multi-jointed frame structure of the robots and the various fashions of the characters in this work influenced subsequent anime works, and he continued to create new and evolved designs in "Five Star Stories," which began serialization in "Monthly Newtype" in 1986 and is still being serialized today. The "DESIGNS" series was first serialized in "Monthly Newtype" in 1986.

The "DESIGNS Mamoru Nagano Design Exhibition" will feature original drawings, illustrations, settings, rough sketches, etc., from his works before his commercial debut and from his past works including "Heavy Fighter El-Gaim," "Mobile Suit Z Gundam," "Bren Powered," "Shelbright," "Five Star Story," "Hana no Utame: Gothic Made," etc. The exhibition will be held in conjunction with the "Mamoru Nagano Design Exhibition," which is scheduled to be held this year. The exhibition will feature approximately 340 carefully selected original drawings, illustrations, settings, rough sketches, etc. from past productions.
Original goods will also be on sale at the exhibition.
This is a great opportunity to experience Nagano's designs.
