Based on the third theatrical film "Yamato yo Eien Eien" released in 1980, "Yamato yo Eien Eien REBEL3199" is the latest in a series of remakes based on the original film and reinterpreted in a new way. The first chapter, "The Black Invasion," will begin screening on Friday, July 19, 2024.

This ambitious work is a series of 26 episodes, reworking various elements of the third theatrical film "Yamato yo Eien" released in 1980, with new interpretations. Does the title "3199" mean a thousand years from now?　What is the secret relationship between Desariam and Earth, which appears as an antagonist? The surprise shown at the end of the previous film continues to grow.
The drama is also enhanced. Moriyuki is captured by the enemy officer Alfon, and Ancient Susumu is unable to escape his own guilt - their love is put to the test of separation. In addition, Stasya's orphaned daughter Sasha is also heavily involved. A fierce battle full of tension unfolds as all the characters act with a will, and the meaning of the battle is once again questioned. ......
　What does the keyword "rebel" really mean? If we recall, the story of Yamato began with "rebellion against a hopeless fate. In the world of this work, which has been dramatically scaled up to include a war among interstellar nations, it is now time to pay attention to the actions of Yamato and its crew as they demonstrate their "REBEL"!

The year is 2207 AD. Two years have passed since the annihilation of Gamilus and Iscandar.
Suddenly, a mysterious giant object called "Grand Reverse" appeared in the solar system.
The Earth Defense Forces fought a valiant battle, but the "Grand Reverse" easily broke through the multiple layers of defenses and descended with ease into the new capital of the Earth.
Swarms of descending soldiers appeared without a sound. Multi-legged tanks landing. In the blink of an eye, the capital was overrun.
Is there no way for the Earth to resist?
At that moment, the crew of the old Yamato fleet receives a top-secret order.
"Rally to Yamato!"
Then a mysterious singing voice is heard. A mysterious man mutters, "I'm back. What is the invader's surprising identity?
With the fate of mankind at stake, the voyage of the Space Battleship Yamato now begins into a time and space never before explored.

When "Yamato yo Eien" (1980) was produced in the 80's, my father, Yasushi Miyagawa, started working with Kentaro Haneda.
Mr. Miyagawa's father, Yasushi Miyagawa, began working with Mr. Kentaro Haneda in the 80's. Mr. Haneda was the only person who could have played this music! Some of the songs were created by people who thought, "Mr. Haneda couldn't have played this song...!
Because we are trying to reproduce something that is the result of the wisdom and skill of so many people, we have come to think that we would like to struggle together with the next generation.
That is why I asked pianist and composer Shu Kanematsu, whom I have been paying attention to for several years, to participate in "Rebel 3199.
I am very grateful to him for creating sounds that I could not have come up with in my drawer.
The original music is reproduced more highly, and the heavier parts are even heavier and sharper.
We are now entering a phase where we are no longer only reproducing the look and feel, but also the spirit of our predecessors.
