Taiyuki's Toys and Games Vol. 36 MPG "Trainbot Seizan" Part 2

Continuing from the first part, which introduced the train form, we bring you the second part, a review of the robot form. The left side is the MPG version, and the right side is the original Diaclone version.

The face is probably a mask type, as he is a taciturn warrior. The eyes and other parts are well painted.

The Diaclone version has a much smaller head, but the atmosphere is very similar to that of the MPG. The blocks on the left and right sides of the head are treated as back blocks in the MPG.

The lines of the chest, arms, waist, and other small parts are very similar to the Diaclone version, so let's compare and see.

There are many similarities. I am amazed that they were able to pick up so much detail in some areas.

The leg parts are also similar to the Diaclone version.

The shape of the back of the knees and ankles, and other details have been picked up and arranged well.

As expected, the size of the item on its back is different, but as mentioned in the previous issue, there is a part that looks like a cannon. This was the shape for the missile gimmick in the Diaclone version.

In the Diaclone version, there was a gimmick whereby the front part of the vehicle would fire when a button was pressed.

I thought, "What, all the way up here? In the MPG version, this part is not visible even in the vehicle form, but it is shaped like a window of the vehicle. This is probably in respect of the Diaclone version's waist.

We will show you how the MPG version is movable while posing it in action, but this shoulder joint area in particular is a mass of hinges that is difficult to describe in words. Please be careful when handling it. However, thanks to this mass of hinges, it is possible to add a lot of expression to the figure.

I like the fact that you can see the mechanisms that originated from the pre-transformed form of the Transformers.

In robot mode, a joint can be connected to the waist.

Now for the action!

The hip armor can be deployed both front to back and left to right, and the hip joints have excellent mobility. The knees can be bent up to 90 degrees. There is also a roll axis at the waist.

She can also stand on one knee.

We tried to hold the plain laser. Using the movable parts when combined with Raiden, the upper body can be tilted to the left side only. Note the range of motion of the shoulders.

The Raiden cannon can also be equipped in both hands. The shoulder panels can also be brought to the sides to look like a shield. Note the grounding of the ankles.

The backpack cannon can also be attached to the arms.

The light sword for Raiden can be attached to the right hand only. The clear blue blade of the sword is beautiful .......

Seizan looks much different with this sword. It is too cool.

I tried to imitate Fortress, the commander at the time, pulling out the master sword. It is interesting that the face can be turned up quite a bit, so it looks good.

Trainbots that have been released so far. Well, they are still very good!　Trainbot!

And speaking of Trainbots, there is Raiden, the Heavy Allied Warrior. So, here are some of the preparations for Seizan's merging. I'll cover a lot of ground here.

The gimmick of combining into a heavy alloy warrior Raiden!

First, retract the wrists and align both legs. The toes are left out.

To deploy the wrists under the neck, avoid both shoulder panels and other parts once.

Once the Raiden wrists are deployed, prepare to form the Raiden forearms with the shoulder panels and torso.

The panels are deployed to accommodate the arms and other parts of the seizan, and the deformation is completed with the seizan in a kneeling position.

In the positive position, it looks like this. The arms are quite sturdy! I am looking forward to seeing the combined arms.

The backpack is transformed into blocks on both sides of Raiden's legs.

It is put together in a square block shape.

Attach the cannon again to complete the transformation.

Combined into Raiden and right arm!　Gotsuiiiiiii！！！！

The leg blocks are combined into the right leg! Finally,...... it's finally here!

I tried to hold the upper body with my hand and simulated the size after completion to see if it would look roughly like this.

If I can get the Kaen together, which will be released in late February 2024, the Heavy Allied Warrior Raiden will be complete!

Really ......, how did I miss out on buying Kaen's Takara Tomy Mall limited edition box set!　It's no exaggeration to say that this is my biggest regret of the year ......!　How I wish I could turn back the clock .......

However, the regular edition will be available to the general public, and I'll do whatever I can to get that one!
