The "Akiba Research Institute Anime Awards 2023," in which everyone decides the most popular anime among the works released in 2023, started on January 22, 2024.

Twenty-six works ranked in the top five in each of the satisfaction polls for winter, spring, summer, and fall 2023, as well as six theatrical anime works recommended by the editorial department, were entered for the real vote. From among them, the best animated film of the year will be decided.
