The newest toy of the "Dag-On" series: The shockingly movable and parsed weapon makes for a cool pose! In-depth review of "METAMOR-FORCE Fire Dag-On" by voice actor Yasuyuki Tai! Part 2

The most robot-loving voice actor in the voice acting industry, Taiyuki, plays around with the latest toy toys and hobbies that interest him!

Yasuyuki Tai's Toys and Games Vol. 38 METAMOR-FORCE: The Brave Dug-On Fire Dug-On Part 2

Fire Dag-On, the main character robot from the seventh "Yusha Series" "Yusha Dag-On", is now available in the METAMOR-FORCE series from SEN-TI-NERI! The item is characterized by the weight of the die-cast parts used in a well-balanced manner and its easy-to-handle size.

Following the first part, which introduced the various mechanical forms and combining gimmicks, in the second part we will thoroughly explore the proportions and action of the Fire Dag-On form!

The proportions are very straightforward. Although some details have been added, the proportions have not been changed excessively, and the style is very pleasing. It is a true reproduction of the play + α. The coloring and painting of each part is perfect.

The Jumbo's tail wing has been compacted to give it a volume close to that of the play. The movable parts on the side of the legs for transformation have been designed in a way that does not interfere with the design.

The engine pods on the main wings can be changed to any position. It is up to your preference. This time, we will play without changing the position of the engine pod.

Here is the engine pod position changed. Both are nice.

From the back. It's not a big change, but if you want to reproduce the balance of the anime, this one is closer to the image you have.

The wing is very big from the side, and it looks cool.

Head and chest. As you can see, the color scheme and painting are well done. The inside of the chest has just enough space to accommodate the head, and this design is responsible for the good proportions of the figure. The color choice is also very appropriate.

The underside of Fire Dug-On's shoulder armor is impressive because it is a giant robot that is often seen in the background. Details that are not in the setting have been added here as well. The parting line of the upper arm is also a nice mechanical treatment.

The wrists in this photo are fists for deformation.

Original details have been added to the waist and thighs to prevent the thinning of the surfaces due to their size.

The key point is that it is not a simple combination of flat surfaces, such as the subtle end-width lines of the legs. The toes are also originally supposed to be quite simple in shape, but details appropriate to their size have been added.

The surface structure of the back of the legs, the subtle bulging of the sides, and the use of glossy or matte finish paint. This area will be a good reference when building large plastic models.

The head is movable vertically and horizontally. In particular, the base of the neck can be raised so that the face can be angled to look down, depending on the pose.

Shoulder armor is connected between the attachment shafts to the arm parts and is independently movable. This is an area where care should be taken when applying force to avoid damage. Shoulders rotate by shaft connection. Lifting the arms horizontally is also possible up to this point because the shoulder armor is lifted significantly.

The base of the shoulders also has a slight forward swing movement.

The waist is the key to posing. It can of course be bent forward and backward.

It can also be flexed and twisted to the left and right.

The elbow joints are a bit special: they can be moved as straight double joints, and using the axis of the elbow joint, the forearms can be bent inward while the elbows are bent. There is also a roll rotation axis on the second arm.

The wrists have ball joint connections. In addition, they can be snapped wide with the benefit of deformation.

The hip joints are also quite movable. The legs can be opened 180° to the left and right. The front and rear leg openings are also quite wide.

Knees are double-jointed. There is a roll rotation axis on the thigh.

The ankles also serve as cargo hatches when in fire jumbo form, so the toes and heels are movable separately. This is a somewhat special type of movement, but if used properly, bold poses are possible.

Wing can swing with the movable part used also deformation. The movable parts used in the engine pod deformation can be used.

This level of action poses is a cinch.

With the movable wrists, you can also freely express the expression of the fingers.

I was even able to get her to stand on one leg if I got the balance right. But if you want her to take this pose, it is safer to use a pedestal.

Now, let's recreate the special move!

Flame "Fire. Hold!" (*The beam does not come out.)

What the flat hand doesn't come with can be made up with the movable finger.

The fire blade can be reproduced by replacing the ladder part.

The size of the standard equipped sword is like this. It is faithful to the setting.

Flame "Fireblade!"

Taking advantage of the movable parts, it is a challenge to reproduce the impressive pose! The sword with purse from the Sentinel Store bonus would look great in this pose.

Noooooo! Wonderful power! You can't underestimate the perspective parts at .......

Fire "daaaaahhh!

Movable wrist is also very active here!

Flame "Finish!

Various poses with the fireblade, please enjoy them at your hand as well.

Flame "Hah!

Next is the LYOTHODE!

Ryan "deeeeeeee!" (*The floating lion-sword is a composite)

The connecting pin to the palm is folded up on the handle of the lion sword. By raising it and inserting it into the palm of the hand, and then grabbing the fingers, the holding of the lion-sword is reproduced.

Flame "......"

I also used a part with a purse for the Lio Sword. It is even larger than the fireblade.

Flame "Fire Lio-Sword-o!"

Making full use of the attached wrists, it is possible to reproduce swinging it with both hands.

Flame "Taaaaah!"

Combining movable wrists and sword handle, you can enjoy posing holding the sword firmly.

The movable toes are a bit odd, but if you get the center of gravity just right, you can even pose her standing with her heels up.

By using the movable elbows and wrists, the figure can also hold the lion-sword in front of its body.

This allows for a dynamic scene where the figure is flying and charging with the sword.

The fact that the lion-sword gripping wrist is also on the left hand allows you to play with the two swords of different types, which is something that only toys can do.

Both swords can be replaced with a purse. Isn't it cool beyond belief!

Flame "Flame! Jumonji slashiiii!" (*There is no such technique.)

(There is no such technique.) The image is that he has finished defeating the enemy. Look at the angle of the right ankle. Not many toys can lift their toes this much. Of course, it would be difficult for Fire Dug-On to actually wield the lion-sword with one hand, but if you think the pose you created is cool, then I think you are right.

I am sure there are many people who can create cooler poses than I can, so please try to find a bold and cool Fire Dug-On pose when you get it.

See you again in "Rigid Combination" and "Super Fire Combination"!

In the end, this review has ended up with nearly 100 images in total, but it is such a fun item to pose and has a high play value.

While larger three-dimensional items are often drastically rearranged, as in this case, it is also a good idea to add just the right amount of detail without changing the silhouette to make it more attractive.

Now, expectations for Power Dug-On ...... and Super Fire Dug-On have risen even higher! I am looking forward to waiting for the release of Power Dug-On, since the toys can be combined together forbidden many times.
