The TV anime "A Former Hero Called Defective Decides to Live as He Pleases Since He Was Exiled from His Parents' Home" will begin airing on TV networks including Teletext and BS Teletext in April 2024 and will be distributed on U-NEXT and Anime Unlimited at the earliest possible time.

The popular light novel "A Former Hero Called Defective Decides to Live as He Pleases Since He Was Expelled from His Parents' Home" (TO Books), written by Shin Kohzuki, has sold over 900,000 copies (including e-books) and is set to be adapted into a TV anime. The story is about a former hero who wants to take it easy and live as he pleases.

It has been decided that this work will begin TV anime broadcast on Teletext, BS Teletext and others from April 2024, and will be distributed at the earliest possible time on U-NEXT and Anime Unlimited. In addition, a key visual has been released and additional cast members including Minami Kurisaka, Akari Kito, and Ten Amamiya have been announced.
