The most cost-effective Thai lunch in Akihabara! Siam Shokudo akihabara" Gapao rice, large portion, 880 yen!

When you come to Akihabara, you may have a hard time deciding where to have lunch.

In order to help you choose the right place for lunch, here are some Akiba eats recommended by Shun Gori, who is a frequent visitor to Akihabara even when he has no other business in Akihabara.

As an Akibaite who likes to spend money on his hobbies, I will focus on those who can eat for less than 1,000 yen, assuming that the amount of money you can spend for lunch is within 1,000 yen.

While you can find delicious ramen and curry just a short walk away, Akihabara is also home to a variety of restaurants serving cuisine from all over the world. Speaking of which, Thailand seems to be getting a lot of attention lately. That's right! I want to eat Thai food!

So this time, we visited "Siam Shokudo akihabara" where you can eat Gapao rice for only 880 yen.

Siam Shokudo Akihabara is about a two-minute walk from the Electric Town exit of JR Akihabara Station. It is located on a back street, so look for the Onoden and LAOX buildings along Chuo-dori and enter the street between the two buildings. The restaurant is just past that street.

The restaurant has four tables for four people and two tables for two people, for a total of 18 seats. The aisles are wide for an Akihabara eatery, and the restaurant has the atmosphere of a stylish cafe, decorated with Thai sundries.

The lunch menu is available from 11:30 to 14:00, and offers a variety of dishes for a reasonable 880 yen, including the well-known Japanese classic Gapao rice, Thai-style fried noodle (Pad Thai), and Tom Yam Kung noodle. All lunch menu items can be ordered in large portions for free, so if you want a hearty Thai meal today! If you want a big bowl of Thai food today, you can have a large bowl of Thai food.

Please note that you must pay in advance at the time of ordering, so be sure to have your wallet ready before placing your order so that you can pay smoothly.

Incidentally, there is also a weekly menu called "This Week's Weekly Lunch. This week it was "Khao Pat Kung," Thai-style fried rice.

Incidentally, this is the second time in my life that I have been to an authentic Thai restaurant, so I am actually not familiar with Thai food. Moreover, the first time I went to a restaurant that was too authentic, so I only remember that I had a very spicy (harsh) experience.

So, I didn't know what to order. I decided to order a large portion of the "Manager's Recommendation!

So, I ordered a large bowl of "Gapao Rice" for 880 yen.

It was a little long and thin Thai rice topped with spicy stir-fried minced meat and a beautifully fried egg, half-cooked to perfection. The appearance of the dish makes you think, "This must be delicious.

First, I took a bite of the spicy minced meat stir-fry to check the spiciness and taste. It was described as "spicy," but it was not that spicy, and the well-seasoned meat was delicious. I was tempted to eat it with rice as soon as possible.

Not being familiar with Thai food and etiquette, I did not know how to eat it, but I followed my wild instincts and broke the yolk of the fried egg, mixing it with the minced meat, rice, and yolk as I ate.

This is a "guy who tastes good no matter how he eats!" So I guess the right thing to do is to eat it the way you want to eat it.

The stir-fried minced meat and Thai rice, which is less sticky than Japanese rice, go very well together.

The taste may have been adjusted for the Japanese, and it was less spicy than the Thai food I had eaten before, but if you like spicy food, you can adjust the taste with seasonings. If you like spicy food, you can adjust the spiciness with seasonings. I tried to add some spicy seasoning (*editor's note: probably "prick nam pla"), but it became spicy at once.

It is said that you can enjoy more delicious Thai dishes when the restaurant is open for dinner from 5:00 p.m., so it would be a good idea to visit for dinner.

So, this time we visited "Siam Shokudo Akihabara," a restaurant where you can enjoy Thai cuisine in Akihabara.

I enjoyed a very tasty lunch, as the food is authentic Thai cuisine adjusted to suit the Japanese palate.

And in Akihabara, where the average lunch price is in the neighborhood of 1,000 yen, it is nice to be able to fill up on a hearty meal for only 880 yen.

Why not try this restaurant when you want to have lunch in Akihabara in style, or when you want to fill up at a reasonable price?

When you finish your meal and leave, you will be told, "It's not just pig's feet! Not just pig's feet! I decided to try pig's feet next time.
