Manga Artist Tatsuki Fujimoto's Best Coming-of-Age Story "Look Back" to be Animated! The film will be released in theaters on 6/28 (Fri.).

Look Back," written by Tatsuki Fujimoto, which was released on the comic distribution site "JUMP+" in July 2021 and recorded more than 2.5 million views on its first day, will be adapted into a theater anime and released in theaters nationwide on June 28, 2024 (Friday). In addition, a teaser visual and a special video have been released, and a comment from Tatsuki Fujimoto on the anime adaptation has arrived.

The manga artist Tatsuki Fujimoto, who has created such popular works as "Fire Punch" and "Chainsaw Man" and will release an animated film version of "Chainsaw Man: Rezhe Arc" in 2024, has been working on "Look Back" since its release on the comic distribution site "JUMP+" in July 2021. While freshly depicting two girls, Fujino and Kyomoto, who continue to earnestly create manga, the events that will eventually occur that will determine their fates are depicted with a strong sense of realism, attracting the attention of many manga fans, including well-known creators.

Kiyotaka Oshiyama, who has worked on numerous theatrical productions as a key staff member, including "Evangelion: The Movie", "The Borrower Arrietty", and "The Wind Rises", will direct, write the script, and design the characters for the anime adaptation of the manga.

Along with the announcement of the theatrical anime adaptation, a teaser visual showing the main character Fujino's back as he draws his manga and a special news release were also released.

On the occasion of the film adaptation, Fujimoto said, "This work was created to force me to digest what I could not digest in myself. I don't know if I was able to digest it by drawing it or not, but I can only express my gratitude to the many people who were involved in making this work into a film. Director Oshiyama is a monster animator who is no stranger to anime otaku, so as an otaku myself, I am looking forward to seeing this work on film.

<Synopsis
