Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online (GGO)" (Dengeki Bunko) is a "spin-off" of "Sword Art Online (SAO)" (published by Reki Kawahara).
The story takes place in the next-generation VRMMO "Gun Gale Online," which Kirito and Shinon encountered in the second season of the "SAO" TV anime.
