Namco Bandai Entertainment Inc. has announced the release of "Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream", the latest title in the SAO home video game series, an online co-op action game for "up to 20 players" on Nintendo Switch/PlayStation5/Xbox Series X|S/STEAM. The game will be released on Nintendo Switch/PlayStation5/Xbox Series X|S/STEAM in 2024. The game is scheduled to be released in 2024.

A new feature of the virtual world "Galaxia".

◆Story Mode
The first "home video game" to feature a story based on the original story and anime, this offline mode is for single player only.
The storyline will increase the number of characters that can be used in each quest/mode as you progress.

◆Co-Op Quest
An online-only mode where you can challenge with a party of 4 players.
In the map, there are four other parties fighting in different locations, and as you advance through the quests, you will be able to join more and more of your friends.
At the boss battle at the far end of the area, all 20 players gather for an all-out battle.
If there are not enough participants, NPCs will be added to the team, and it will always be 20 people.

◆Boss Raid
This is an online-only mode in which up to 20 players take on a giant boss.
The bosses that tormented Kirito and his friends in the original story and anime have been resurrected due to the outburst of "Galaxia".
Players take on the role of unique characters and challenge powerful enemies with friends from around the world.
If there are not enough participants, NPCs will be added to the team, and there will always be 20 players.

◆Free Quests
Free Quest is an online-only mode that allows players to freely explore maps with hidden treasure chests and powerful enemies.
Within a single map, you can play with up to 20 other players.
It is recommended as an introduction to multiplayer as the time limit is long and you can play at your own pace.

A "teaser trailer" was released to coincide with the announcement of this title.
