Tomica

Tomica" was launched in 1970 as Japan's first series of palm-sized die-cast miniature cars made in Japan. At a time when foreign-made miniature cars were at the height of their popularity, Tomica was born out of a passionate desire for Japanese children to play with more familiar miniature cars made in Japan, and has been loved by parents and children for three generations. To date, more than 1,140 different car models have been released, with cumulative sales exceeding 725 million units (as of April 2023).

In recent years, in addition to its standard products, the company has expanded its lineup to include the "Dream Tomica" series in collaboration with popular characters and content, and the "Tomica Premium" series of high-detail collection models. In 2016, the company also began full-scale licensing of the "tomica" brand for adults, aiming to create a brand that attracts a wide range of people regardless of age or gender, and is also developing licenses for apparel, stationery, daily necessities, and other products.
