The live-action movie and TV anime adaptation of Hiromasa Okushima's popular comic "BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM BAMBAMBAMBAMBAMBAMBOY" serialized in "Bessatsu Shonen Champion" (Akita Shoten) was announced today, February 29, 2024, on "Garlic Day," a once-every-four-year event.

The series of "BANG BANG BANG BANG Vampire," which began in the November 2021 issue, has been captivating fans with its outlandish setting, addictive worldview that one cannot get out of once they read it, lovable and quirky characters including the beautiful but somewhat silly Ranmaru, and chaotic storyline woven by the characters. A number of fans have been captivated by this vampire romantic comedy.

Ranmaru Mori, who works as a live-in part-timer at a public bathhouse, is a 450-year-old vampire. In his quest for the ultimate taste, the blood of an 18-year-old virgin, he spends his days watching over the growth and purity of Li Jin (15 years old), the only son of the bathhouse owner! If he falls in love with her, it means he is in danger of losing his virginity! In this desperate situation, Ranmaru decides to "not let him fall in love! and Ranmaru's desperate "Operation to Prevent the Loss of Virginity" begins!

A live-action movie and TV anime adaptation of this work were decided at the same time, and were released today, February 29, on "Garlic Day," which is celebrated once every four years.

The announcement of the "media adaptation" was made at the time of the release of the sixth volume of the book in December of last year, and fans were saying, "I'm too excited! I'll be happy whether it's an anime or a movie! Ranmaru-sama in motion! The announcement came with much anticipation.

The live-action movie will be co-produced by Shochiku and TV Asahi and will be distributed by Shochiku and released nationwide in 2025, while the TV anime is scheduled to be broadcast on TV Asahi in 2025. The film and anime will create a "Baba Baba whirlwind" throughout Japan.

Hiromasa Okushima, the author of the original story, commented, "I still can't believe it.
