Platz/BEEMAX will release "1/12 Formula Series McLaren MP4/4 1988 World Champion" in September 2024. The price is 30,800 yen (tax included).

This product is a plastic model assembly kit that reproduces in detail the McLaren MP4/4 that dominated the 1988 F1 World Championship.

The 1/12 big scale kit is modeled in detail with the full cooperation of McLaren, not to mention the actual car coverage and advice from mechanics of the time. The most powerful machine is now available in the best kit.

The kit is an early model with the turbocharger air scoop coming out of the cowl, modeled after the Monaco GP in 1988.
The low monocoque and body designed by Gordon Murray are accurately reproduced in its silhouette.
Of course, the cowl can be removed even after completion. Under the cowl, the V6 twin-turbo engine, which boasted over 1,000 horsepower, is modeled down to the auxiliary equipment. The detailed representation of the big scale kit also conveys the performance of the car.

The model can reproduce the specifications for the Monaco GP, the third race of the 1988 season. Rain tires are also included as a limited edition.

It is also possible to recreate the qualifying session on the wet track where Senna won pole position with his overwhelming performance. This is a big model that motorsports fans can't miss, so be sure to check it out!
