Luka from Taiwan shows off her maid cosplay with a glimpse of her beautiful cleavage! Taiwan FF

Taiwan's largest fanzine fair, "Fancy Frontier Kaihatsu Doujinshi 42" (hereinafter referred to as "Taiwan FF"), was held from February 23 to 24 at the Huapo Park 爭艷館 in Taipei City, where cosplayers sold fan goods and photo books. One of the most popular booths was that of Luka, a Taiwanese cosplayer. We asked her about her impressions of the event and Japanese cosplay.

--What was your reason for participating in "Taiwan FF"?

I came to the event to cosplay! I'm also selling some of my cosplay photo books, and I'm learning ideas for their production at "Taiwan FF".

--How many times have you attended?

Hmmm...too many to count! I think I've been more than 20 times.

--What are your impressions of the event?

Well, ...... there are many. Anyway, there were so many people! And the participants seem to like Japanese anime a lot, so they really enjoyed the event, which makes me happy!

--What do you like about "Taiwan FF"?

What is the best thing about "Taiwan FF"? There are a lot of Japanese people and I get to meet a lot of them, but now there are also a lot of people from Europe and America.

--What is your cosplay today?

It is an original maid.

--Is there a reason why you decided to do a maid cosplay?

My friend and I made a new photo book together, and we used maid cosplay in that book. Maids are very cute!

--Are there any points you would like people to see?

I want people to see everything, even the embarrassing ......! If I had to say something strong, I would say the head decoration (*pannier). Isn't it cute?

--What would you like to cosplay next?

I guess I would cosplay for a smartphone app game. It's a popular mobile game in Japan. Like "NIKKE!

--When did you start cosplaying?

A long, long time ago! I've been doing it for a really long time.

--What kind of cosplay have you done so far?

I do all kinds of cosplay. Some are maids, some are fantasy cosplay. Of course, I also cosplay games and anime. I love all kinds of cosplay!

--What kind of cosplay has been talked about on SNS so far?

Blue Archive, NIKKE, and maybe hololive's cosplay as a VTuber. It has a lot of existing fans and becomes very popular on the Internet.

--What cosplay do you like the most?

Well, there are too many ...... cosplays to narrow it down to one (laughs). If I had to say, I would say "Blue Archive," "NIKKE," and maybe "hololive" after that.

--Have you ever participated in any Japanese cosplay events?

Of course! I have cosplayed and participated in events many times. I have attended many Comiket, but there is a sense of order in Japanese cosplay. It's not that Taiwan is disorganized, and it's not that the Taiwanese people are unruly. Taiwanese people are very active and enthusiastic.

--What are your hobbies?

I like to be creative! That would be cosplay (laughs).

--Do people around you know that you cosplay?

Where I work, actually, nobody knows that I cosplay. Nobody knows. I feel like a spy, and it's fun. I am very happy!
