It was announced that "Amaho no Sakunahime," which has shipped more than 1.5 million units worldwide, will be adapted into a TV anime in 2024.

A unique Japanese-style action RPG game, "Tenho no Sakuna Hime" combines exhilarating combo action to fight demons that rule the island on "Hinoe Island" with simulation elements that deeply recreate the ancient Japanese art of rice cultivation.

The much-talked-about "SAKUNAHIME of AMAHO," which has been an unprecedented hit in Japan since its release in 2024 and has been called "the rice riot of 2021," and has shipped more than 1.5 million units worldwide, will be adapted into a TV anime to be broadcast in 2024 on Teletext. In addition, a "moving teaser visual" that allows viewers to experience the world of "SAKUNAHIME" has been released.

Animation production will be handled by P.A.WORKS, which is internationally acclaimed for its high-quality works such as "SHIROBAKO" and "Hanasaku Iroha.

The cast members have also been announced, including Naomi Ozora as the main character Sakunahime, god of fertility, and Rika Korikawa as Sakunahime's "best friend" Kokorowahime, a senior deity who lives in the capital!

I had a fantasy that my work would be made into a TV animation (......). How? Really?
I remember as if it were only yesterday that I thought the enthusiasm of Mr. Toho in explaining the project was so great that I thought it was a terrible idea.
Three years have passed since then, and I am very happy that the time has finally come to make the announcement and deliver the work to you all.

For those of you who have played the game, I am sure you can imagine how difficult it was to make an animated version of this work.
P.A. WORKS and the rest of the animation production team worked very carefully to meet this challenge, and we were also involved in the script, voice recording, and other aspects of the project as supervisors, more than we expected.
