The TV anime adaptation of "Neko ni Tensei Ojisan" (written by Yajima) was announced during the "Fuji Television Animation Lineup Presentation 2024" held on Monday, March 11, 2024.

Neko Oji" is a manga work that became popular after the author, Yajima, posted it on his X (formerly Twitter) site (@yajima_en). The story depicts the joyful life of an ordinary man who is reincarnated as a cute cat one day, and is picked up by the president of the company where he works. It was selected as the second place winner in the web manga category of the "Next Comic Award 2023," and the first volume of the book was released by KADOKAWA in December 2023.

This time, the TV anime adaptation of "Neko ni Tensei o uncle" (hereafter, Neko Oji) has been announced. The anime will be directed by Rio and Takahiro Kawagoe and produced by Studio Eight Colors, and is scheduled to begin airing in October 2024 on Fuji Television's "Poka Poka" program.

The TV animation teaser visual released in conjunction with the announcement of the anime adaptation depicts Pun-chan, a cat who is surprised to see her own reflection on the TV screen, and an uncle who has been reincarnated as a cat.
