The "Macross" series is a milestone in science fiction animation that began with "The Super Dimension Fortress Macross" broadcast in 1982, and has produced a total of 18 titles so far, based on "songs," "mechanical action of the variable fighter 'Valkyrie'" and "love triangle drama. The appeal of "Macross" is not only the robot battles, but also the songs performed by the songstresses, with albums containing songs from the series winning the "Japan Gold Disc Award for Album of the Year in the animation category" in 1994 and 2017, and a single from the series reaching No. 1 on the Oricon Weekly Single Ranking In 2020, their single reached No. 1 in the Oricon Weekly Singles Ranking.

The 18 titles of the "Macross" series, which has garnered tremendous support from a wide range of generations, will be available on Disney Plus by the end of 2024, making Disney Plus the only video service where all the titles can be viewed in one place. Disney Plus will be the only video distribution platform where all the titles will be available in one place. Furthermore, the series, which until now has mainly been viewed domestically, will be distributed worldwide*, and we hope that fans overseas, who have waited more than 40 years for the series, will join us in enjoying its distribution. Newly-drawn visuals commemorating the distribution of the series and comments from Kamon Onishi, CEO of BIG WEST, have arrived.

Prior to the start of distribution, a special visual by Risa Ebata, character designer and animation director for "Macross F," one of the most popular series in the series, was released! To celebrate the decision to distribute the entire series, all the members of "Valkyrie" including Lynn Minmei, the representative diva of "Macross", and Freya Vion from "Macross Delta" have gathered!

In addition, the most popular characters such as Hot Air Basara and Milene Genus from "Macross 7", Ranka Lee from "Macross F", and Sheryl Nome, one of the most popular divas in the series, as well as a variable fighter from "Macross Plus", which is also popular among fans for its overwhelming quality hand-drawn animation, are all included in the "Macross Plus"! Valkyrie (Valkyrie) YF-19, beyond the series and the era, gathered! It is a piece that "Macross" fans are sure to covet.

Furthermore, it has been urgently decided that a "Macross" series stage event will be held on March 23 (Sat.) and 24 (Sun.) at the Disney Plus booth at AnimeJapan 2024, one of the world's largest anime events, to be held at Tokyo Big Sight (Koto-ku, Tokyo) on March 23 (Sat.) and 24 (Sun.), 2024!

The stage will feature Yoshiki Fukuyama (Hot Air Basara: singing), Ai Nakajima (Lanka Lee), Minori Suzuki (Freya Veon), and other guests representing the "Macross" series. In addition, Yoshiki Fukuyama will sing on stage!　This rare stage event where you can hear the "live singing" of Hot Air Basara is sure to be an unforgettable time for "Macross" fans!

The origin of the series that established "song," "mecha," and "love triangle. The Space Battleship Macross is at war with the giant alien Zentradi. Hear my song!" Rock band "Fire Bomber" Hot Air Basara is the "hero who doesn't fight. The main character, Hot Air Basara, is voiced by Nobutoshi Kanna and sung by Yoshiki Fukuyama, and was the precursor to Sheryl Nome in "Macross F" and Miun Ginuemail in "Macross Delta.
