Fureu. is a story about three young men and a dog who have known each other since childhood and have been connected by the power of a mysterious creature, even if they do not speak their feelings. It is a story that teaches us the true connection between people in today's age of increasingly complex communication.

Scheduled to be released nationwide in the fall of 2024, the film's production team is also behind "We Still Don't Know the Name of the Flower We Saw That Day." The Heart of the Man Who Knows the Sky is Blue. and "The Sky's Blue is Shining," are the three main producers: Nagai Tatsuyuki (director), Okada Mari (screenwriter), and Tanaka Masaga (character designer), who worked on the heart-stopping Chichibu trilogy of "The Sky's Blue is Shining.

This was the first time that the voice actors for the heroines of the three works were all on stage, making it an extremely valuable event.

The first question-and-answer session began with a look back at the Chichibu trilogy. Each cast member asked Director Nagai a question that could only be asked now. Mr. Wakayama asked why he chose each cast member as the main cast for each film.
In response to this question, Director Nagai said, "I am very happy because I audition for all the films I am involved in on a flat basis, so I am able to choose people who are suited to the characters. I was just starting out at the time, so I chose them based on their freshness as well.

When the director jokingly commented, "I brought her up," Ms. Chino replied, "If you say that, you'll be used in the headlines again! (And they did use it in the title.) Ms. Minase then said, "The idea floats.

When asked when ideas come to him, Mr. Minase replied, "I just think about it, and because I am thinking about it, it sometimes comes to me for some reason. During production, I think about the work all the time, so while I'm thinking and thinking, it suddenly comes to me." "I try not to be too uptight," said Mr. Nagai.
He also responded with the secret to creating works, saying, "Sometimes an image comes to me from a photo I took without thinking about it, rather than when I am trying hard to find a location for a location.

Finally, Mr. Chino asked, "Do you have any "specialties" to improve the efficiency of production work? Mr. Chino answered, "Do you have any "specialties" to improve the efficiency of your production work?
According to Ms. Chino, Director Nagai "always sits on the floor in gymnastics" and when asked, "Do ideas come to you when you are dressed like that? When asked, Nagai replied, "I have bad posture, so I tend to take off my shoes (laughs). Even when I am working, I often sit cross-legged on a chair.
He also said, "I don't sleep in the studio" as a rule at work. If I start sleeping in the studio, there is no end to it. So, no matter how sleepy I am, I don't knead until I get home.

Next was "Fureru. A special news release video and information on the main characters were shown for the first time.

The information revealed this time was that the film is not set in Chichibu, but mainly in the Takadanobaba area of Tokyo. The story goes that Chichibu was Okada-san's hometown, and Takadanobaba was chosen as the setting because it is where Okada-san lived for a long time after moving to Tokyo. The staff members who knew the area were chosen because they were familiar with the area," said Mr. Okada.

The main characters were also revealed for the first time. The three male characters, Akira Onoda, Ryo Sobue, and Yuta Inohara, are said to be childhood friends who lived on an island as children. The story begins when they grew up and moved to Tokyo.
The director says, "The whole story is about coming to Tokyo. After the Chichibu trilogy, this time it is a story about coming to Tokyo". The director's own memories of his childhood friends were also incorporated into each of the three characters. As with the Chichibu trilogy, we can expect episodes of childhood friendship that we can relate to.

Incidentally, a cute mascot-like mysterious character also appears in the film. All we can say is that it is a "mystery. Director Nagai says, "I wanted this character to be a bit catchy, so that's why I introduced him. This kind of mascot character has never existed in the Chichibu trilogy, so it will be interesting to see what kind of new style this mysterious creature will bring to the new film.

To close the stage, he said, "This fall! Fureru!" were performed together with the audience.

We will keep an eye on the information that will be gradually released in preparation for the theatrical release in the fall of 2024.
