Approximately 1,200 TSUTAYA stores nationwide become "Pokéstops" & "Gyms" for "Pokémon GO"!

Pokémon GO, a location-based game app for iOS/ Android, announced today that TSUTAYA stores nationwide (excluding some stores) will appear in the game as new PokéStops and Gyms starting today, January 16 (Wednesday).

(Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Tsunekazu Ishihara), launched in July 2016 and has been downloaded more than 850 million times worldwide (as of August 2018), the location-based game app "Pokémon GO" for smartphones.

Today, Wednesday, January 16, TSUTAYA, Niantic, Inc. and Pokémon Inc. signed a partnership agreement for "Pokémon GO". It was announced that TSUTAYA stores nationwide (excluding some stores) will appear in the game as new PokéStops and Gyms.
