Audi R8 Coupé V10 plus '16

The second generation of the Audi road-going sports car named after the Le Mans champion.

The second generation of Audi's road-going sports car bearing the name of the Le Mans champion.
The R8 is a road car that incorporates technology from the R8 prototype racing car of the same name that competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, etc. The R8 debuted in 2006 to worldwide acclaim and was reborn for the second generation in 2016.

Although it was basically a keep-concept model change, the Audi space frame made of lightweight materials and the full-time 4WD quattro system were switched to newly developed ones. Even the styling, which has much in common with the previous generation, has been changed in most details.

The power unit is the same as that of the previous generation, a 5.2L naturally aspirated V10 engine. However, the basic R8 V10 engine delivers 540 PS, 15 PS more than the previous generation. The R8 V10 Plus, a high-performance version of the R8 V10, features the same engine tuned up to 610 PS, a fixed rear wing, and a mechanical LSD as standard equipment.

Lamborghini Urus '18

Lamborghini's "answer to the global rise of SUVs."

Lamborghini's answer to the global rise of the SUV category is the Urus, launched in 2018. The Urus represents a "super SUV" from a brand that produces super sports cars.

The styling is an edgy, linear design common to the mid-ship models of the same generation of Lamborghinis. The basic framework is based on the Volkswagen Group's platform for full-size SUVs, with unique tuning.

Mounted at the front is a 4L V8 twin turbo, Lamborghini's first ever supercharged unit, delivering 650 PS and 86.68 kgfm. The drive system is a full-time 4WD with a torque distribution system based on a front-rear ratio of 40:60, with the driving force variable from 70:30 to 13:87 depending on the situation.

In addition to the adaptive air suspension, rear wheel steer and torque vectoring system provide maneuverability and cornering performance suitable for a super SUV, and an optional driving mode for off-road and desert driving is also available.

At the time of its debut, it was the world's fastest SUV, with 0-100 km/h acceleration in 3.6 seconds, 0-200 km/h acceleration in 12.8 seconds, and a top speed of 305 km/h. The Toyota GT-One (TS09) was the world's fastest SUV, with a top speed of 305 km/h and a 0-100 km/h acceleration of 3.6 seconds.

Toyota's endurance race car that won its class at Le Mans in 1999.

In the early 1990s, Toyota challenged to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans with its Group C car, the TS010. The Toyota GT-One (TS020), introduced in 1998, succeeded that unsuccessful challenge. During the Group C era, Toyota developed its machines mainly in Japan. However, this time, the company changed its structure and entrusted the entire project to TTE (Toyota Team Europe) of Germany, which had been in charge of the World Rally Championship activities, and once again took on the challenge of winning the overall victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The new Le Mans car, GT-One, was developed by Andre De Cortanz, a racing car design genius with a brilliant track record in the world's most prestigious motorsports, including F1, Le Mans, and WRC. Having designed Peugeot's first Group C car, the 905, and won Le Mans in 1992 and 1993, de Cortanz designed the GT-One as a Le Mans car for the new era, incorporating the latest F1 technology.

The monocoque, made of carbon composite structure, was narrowed down for aerodynamic performance, and a 3.6L V8 twin-turbo engine developed during the Group C car era was installed. The suspension had extremely long arms both front and rear, ensuring ideal suspension geometry.

In 1998, the first year of the GT-One's entry in Le Mans, Toyota sent three GT-One cars to lead the race in the LM GT1 class with the aim of winning the overall championship, but they were plagued by problems and unfortunate accidents and were unable to achieve any results. In the second year, 1999, the GT-One developed into the LM GTP car in accordance with the changes in the Le Mans regulations. In 1999, the GT-One was developed into the LM GTP car in accordance with the changes in the Le Mans regulations. The two cars that were positioned to be the winner and its support were forced to withdraw from the race due to a series of problems.

However, Ukyo Katayama, Toshio Suzuki, and Keiichi Tsuchiya on the third car made a furious pursuit toward the end of the race, finishing in 2nd place overall. This was the highest-ever finish by a Japanese team driving a Japanese car.
